When it’s about political activism (mixed with a healthy dose of payback), seldom are things properly thought through.
I think that Khalid Sheikh Mohammad should be tried in a military tribunal.
I think that it’ll — could ‘incent’ terrorism here and to try to bring all of the constitutional rights that we give to citizens to terrorists on the battlefield could mean that someday or own soldiers might be in a position of having to go up and say here are your Miranda rights before we engage in the battle.
It’s just an asinine approach, and I really believe terrorists the world over are laughing at us and glad that we are doing exactly this, because they know that our court system, you know, has some loopholes that they can try to jump through, and I’m just very, very concerned.
— Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), House Armed Services Committee
Unfortunately, we’re dealing with a narcissistic, stubborn bunch in this administration that’s already made their mind up, at least for now. They can be swayed by public opinion backlash and ridicule.
After all, President Obama has recently been interviewed on Fox News. The horror.

Eric:
That’s a good point. According to the DHS, a majority of American citizens are terrorists. Why restrict your methods during a campaign to neutralize them. Of course, they could just pass an “American Citizen Terrorist Act”, but where’s the fun in that.
The criminals/traitors have every advantage. While we work, they conspire.
Think about this, If KSM does get convicted and he brought up the torturing and everything, and it doesn’t get overturned, then there will be precedent for water-boarding to be not cruel and unusual punishment. Then we can punish criminals by water-boarding them or playing music really loud for days at a time. Hell no more need for Miranda rights because he wasn’t read them.
The more I look at this farce of a trial the less I see any positive outcomes.
Obama: Too much debt could fuel double-dip recession
if we keep on adding to the debt, even in the midst of this recovery, that at some point, people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy
The Chinese have spoken and Obama now recognizes that his rejection of economics 101 was a mistake.
They can also be swayed by Chinese communists. Apparently, someone in the White House passed their history class. Unlike American investors, the Chinese will not accept a partial return on their investment.
