Liberal Indoc Of The Day
I guess this is how they “sex up” climate change.
We were so inspired by the pictures we saw coming in from around the world on 350.org’s Global Day of Climate Action, that we wanted to help. While the one-day event was called ‘the most widespread day of political action in the planet’s history,’ we know that not everyone reads the newspapers. So we figured we’d try to get the point across the best way we know how–with clothes, or really, with the lack of clothes. We hope you’ll get the point–feel free to watch it twice in case you got distracted the first time.
This does not make women look intelligent — to get our attention, strip.
Then again….
Shouldn’t these kids be in class…?
WHOOPS! They are…!
And what’s up with the 60’s hippyshit, boing-boing music bed?
Pass the hookah.

Taught how to internet eh?

Tell us how we can overcome the digital division.
Get a job! Moderate your purchases. Stop exploiting others to satisfy your selfish whims.
There is no digital divide. The library is full of books, read them. The public schools are open to all (including illegal immigrants and other criminals), so learn to think for yourself. It’s not that difficult. People of all shapes, sizes, and colors have been doing this for thousands of years.
The “now generation” and “me generation” have combined forces. More regressive “hope and change” at the expense of the productive and charitable. What ever happened to self-sacrifice, personal responsibility, and investment in the future?
Just as important, who funds this garbage?
Note to regressives: Money and technology are insufficient to correct your bad attitude.
Oh, one more thing. It’s not debt. It is compensation you owe others for the products and services which you have chosen to consume. So, stop being deadbeats.
A computer and access to the Internet will not provide the enlightenment you seek, and desperately need.

Tell us how we can overcome the digital divide? Who cares? Having a computer won’t make you smarter, the internet only works if the electricity does, AND… you can’t eat a keyboard.

arghhh…. the youngest GIMMEE generation is now old enough to face the cameras. First they ‘ask;’ then they’ll demand; finally, they will push for more program legislation. They wouldn’t understand the meaning of personal responsibility if it walked up to them and threw a bag of S*%T in their faces. Dang!

Internet access is expensive because there is NO COMPETITION.
November 19th, 2009 at 6:51 pm
Qwest (in Utah)
$9.95/month = NetZero 56k (sufficient for most WWW activities, excluding high-bandwidth multimedia and gaming applications)
or
$25/month = 1.5 M/896 K DSL (with voice)
$30/month = (w/o voice)
Seems fair and reasonable. I have the 1.5 Mbps DSL service, which has been both reliable and provides a consistent 1.4 Mbps bandwidth (excluding TCP/IP overhead and losses).

Free Internet or Free Computers? Free Internet is everywhere. I know where to go and where to get it on my laptop, heck I would say 9/10 coffee houses (not starbucks, but mom and pops) offer free internet. Computers that are trashed are trashed mainly due to them being just that trash, old and not working. These kids are in school learning about computers, why is no one teaching them that old out dated trash is trash for a reason. Sure can most of them still be used by others, of course, and I know of plenty of places that are out there that ask for old machines from people. Everything they asked for in this video is already out there. The only difference is that it isn’t free. I had to work and save to buy my mac, my friends who want macs over pc’s work and save to purchase one, same for PC users… but we have to not buy other things so we can have a computer. These people need to stop complaining and learn what it means to work for a living. AHHHHHH

I already knew that academic achievement was not a good indicator of intelligence, and now I have learned that physical beauty reflects poorly — who would have guessed.
The left-wing lunatics are desperate! And the regressive women could care less how, when, and where they are exploited.
The more you know!

@n.n
you’ll hate me.
I get a 5 Mbps DSL line for 35$/month
November 19th, 2009 at 9:19 pm
fboiteau:
I don’t know if I like you, but I certainly don’t hate you.
with voice service+features: $25 for 7, $37 after 12 mon.
with basic voice service: $30 for 7, $42 after 12 mon.
without voice service: $35 for 7, $47 after 12 mo.
Qwest offers 7 Mbps (and higher), but I don’t need it. In any case, I consider it fair and reasonable, but I am not familiar with the pricing in other markets, so other people’s encounter with fairness may vary.

Hey, I’d bet that all of those “pooooooor” disadvantaged kids have PREMIUM CABLE TV at their homes.
If they add internet, it’s just an extra $30 a month. Heck, have the old lady quit smokin’ and drinkin’ and pony up that 30 bucks for junior!
November 20th, 2009 at 10:29 am
Sigh. Just as the Gubmint did the REC (Rural Electric Co-op) to get electricity out to the boonies, now they want to take it one step further and do the same with the Intartubes…
First, most of the people (over 90% IIRC) of the peepul live in cities. Connections abound: broadband, DSL, Dialup, Wi-Fi. Cost money, so as Syble says, “have the old lady quit smokin’ and drinkin’ and pony up that 30 bucks for junior!”. TANSTAAFL, people. (look TANSTAFFL up, for all you who didn’t read Heinlein…)
Second, there is no “divide”, just people to lazy/cheap to pay for something. Y’all want free gas now? Free car? Oh, wait…
Third, I hope you change your attitude about anything that starts with “Give me…” as it is bankrupting our wonderful country.
The effort to electrify the rural areas were a godsend to farmers, it made their lives so much easier – try running a farm without electricity.
Internet access? Start a Wi-Fi co-op yourself, do dialup, get a Hughes account. Spend YOUR money, not mine.
Just being realistic here.

@fboiteau – I don’t hate anyone over such… well, except for Comcast, to whom I am beholden for this service, and at whatever rate they choose. Unfortunately, I have to have high speed for work, no NetZero.
I’ve never understood the “digital divide” crap. Sure it’s important for folks to become familiar with the operation of computers nowadays. However, the internet is hardly required.

Does not anyone see the inherent counterproductivity in the delivery of the carbon propaganda?
