Well, we have finally done it!

$12,000,000,000,000 and counting.

Another $400,000,000,000 or so, and our recorded public debt will exceed our annual GDP.

MONTHLY STATEMENT OF THE PUBLIC DEBT (as of 10/31/2009)

I can't wait for the "reform", which will extend and redistribute that burden to more people, in more places. Economics -101 (aka, Marx's dream) has been, and will always be a failure. The road to capitalism passes through Marxism (aka totalitarianism). Unfortunately, many people have it backwards. So, we progress, then regress, ...

It's too bad that China has that backward communist political/social system, because their embrace of capitalism will be the envy of the world.

Igor:

I know some mighty tall children!

I laughed...

all of the other people they manage to take with them

then I cried. I'll pass on this production.

n.n., I know some mighty tall children!

Some people will not learn from their mistakes. The Universe has no problem dealing with them. To paraphrase Lazarus Long (Robert Heinlein), "The sentence is death and there is no appeal." The sad thing is all of the other people they manage to take with them...

Finders keepers, losers weepers?

Seriously, "children" of all persuasions should curb their egos, and not coopt other people's work. I still wonder what, if any, are the substantial differences between children and adults. In too many cases, it is a quantity of wrinkles and nothing more. It is obvious that wisdom does not come with age for everyone. Although, like their immature counterparts, I would hope that adults are never too old to learn from their mistakes.
