Cartman Goes Beck

I’m not a huge South Park fan, but this is a good one
Cartman goes Beck

Wednesday’s South Park was aimed at Glenn Beck. Eric Cartman, obviously inspired by Beck, takes over the school’s morning announcements and turns it into his own televised morning show. Cartman is similar to Beck in his mannerisms, emotional presentation, and even his habit of walking around the set.

This will drive the cartoon-watching Obama youth into convulsions.

how? I thought it would sadly keep them demonizing people like Glenn Beck. The truth on race or obama’s birth certificate would drive them into convulsions I would think..

Nicolas, the show makes a little bit of fun of Glenn Beck, but the hero of the story is Wendy. She is cast as a Sarah Palin figure, hounded out of office by vulgar innuendo and nonstop bizzare ethics allegations. When she resigns from student council she makes a ton of money from her new book, “Going Rogue with Smurfs”. Really, that was the plot of this episode, and it was one of the best this year.

I love South Park. I think the young conservatives who watch the show are called “South Park Conservatives”. Not that Im really “young” anymore:( The creators actually lean to the right. They referred to Kerry in the 04 election as “horse face”.

They were mocking Glenn in this episode. I think its ok to tease a little here or there. I think its all in the spirit of fun. I don’t think anyone should be off limits when it comes to politics. Dems, Republicans they are all still politicians and we shouldnt have them on too high of a pedestal. Afterall they are politicians….they are going to disappoint us eventually. I hardly think they demonized Beck though….not in comparison to what the real media does. But, Wendy is Palin for sure.

BTW– During the election I only thought of Obama as a Socialist. After watching a few episodes of Beck Im worried that he is a commie hell bent on completely destroying our society so he and his elite friends can rule with an iron fist. —-Thats the kind of response Beck has instilled in a lot of people (complete distrust of our President) I don’t want to think our President is a traitor….I doubt he is…but, now I will always have that in the back of my head. Dang Beck and all of his questions!! He knows there are no answers….so he’ll keep bringing home a paycheck in the meantime.

Fozzy, I disagree. I wathced Beck and as he showed part of the episode, I thought that Wendy was supposed to be Van Jones… Whatever, it is clever, and Beck himself thought it was funny, as he also perceived all of the latest spoofs about him. With Playboy excepted, the author of that article apparently didn’t bother to do ANY homework on Beck, rather just spouted false/exaggerated liberal talking points.
Liberals can’t handle what’s happening in this country with Tea parties and townhall meetings attended by middle America. And Beck in particular has a following so large, it drives them insane. He doesn’t represent their Hahvad educations, their Socialist agendas, nor their elitist attitudes. In fact he’s going AFTER the left’s strongholds, like Acorn and SEIU, as well as the ACLU. So by God, they have to try to minimalize him, even at their own peril.
You go Eric Cartman, take on those socialists in South Park!
