Bonehead Of The Day
It’s really sad that those who hold the power of government over our heads know little about rules, laws, and our rights.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) told CNSNews.com that the constitutional authority for Congress to require individuals to purchase health insurance is the same that allowed for Medicaid and Medicare, and for states to require driver’s licenses. He also said critics who suggest the health care bill is unconstitutional are making a “spurious argument.”
As I and many others have offered up a retort to this ignorant response, one would think Senator Warner knows that not everyone owns an automobile, thus don’t need a driver’s license. One would think Senator Warner would know that buying a car is a choice. Having our body isn’t and it’s Warner that’s making the spurious argument.
Obviously the only thing that matters to these people is seizing as much power as they can, and that doesn’t take brains.

It truly amazes me as I read (from time to time) just how IGNORANT our average Congresscritter is. Now we have one in the White House that puts all of the dimbulbs to shame…
No common sense, no financial sense, no moral sense. No sense. Period.
Why are Gubmint jobs so lacking in people that have a brain??
Oh, wait…

what a fucking BONEHEAD
NOWHERE in the Constitution does it MANDATE the Government PROVIDE ANYTHING ELSE…BUT protection.
Jefferson said “A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned — this is the sum of good government.”
FUCK OFF DEMS!! Get your hand OUT off my ASS!!

oh and by “protection”, I mean the Military ofcoarse. that’s about it, among few other things, regarding the Government’s job

Moreover, haveing auto insurance is about protecting others (financially, and after-the-face) from one’s own carelessness, etc.
Are we required to have housing insurance? No. And why not? Because one’s residence is more like one’s life (and health) than like one’s automobile.

hate the typos!

I guess the phrase “my body my choice” has conditionals attached to it.

I doubt Warner even knows the difference between specious and spurious. This most certainly not a spurious clam.

You know, if we made it a requirement that to serve in Congress one had to pass a course on Constitutional law, we would have a Republican Congress….
… with about ten members.

Nic, Libs think protection is putting a condom on your head & acting like a P*&#k.
On a serious note, forcing Health Care or Vaccines on people does have it’s down side. Va. teen suffers rare illness after swine flu shot
Boy diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, but CDC says no clear link. The CDC does not want to admit that Squalene (made from Shark Liver) used as a preservative has caused Guillain-Barre syndrome before. There is a large group of Dr. that say CDC facts are flawed & don’t want to admit the Vaccine is dangerous. This is the crap Obama & the CDC want to force on you if H1N1 becomes an epidemic. This os one reason Health Professionals (Dr.’s, Nurses & other Health Care Workers) fought against NYS Health Dept. mandate forcing them to get the Vaccine or be fired. They won. Here is the link to the MSNBC -yuck- article. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33845867/ns/health-cold_and_flu

None of these clowns would understand the Constitution if they read it. It is in Plain English & beyond their legalese language understanding. Look at the H.R. 3200, it is over 2000 pages & you have to read each page numerous times to figure what the hell they are talking about. It takes them 60 words to explain the meaning of what in “Pain English’ could have been 8 words to explain that precise meaning. They must have stayed in College too long, as it scrambled their brains with Legalese Word-speak & think the General Public is too stupid to see the real intent of what is written. This way they think they can sneak in their ideas & agendas instead of “The Citizens”!

Wait until you have to go completely green- forced to replace all your appliances with Energy Star rated appliances, high-efficiency furnaces, better windows, smaller car, insulation with a higher R value, etc., etc.,…because it’s for the common good. Some leftist troll would read this and scoff like it’s ludicrous that their comrades would even consider something so intrusive, but you know it’s rolling around out there on the left. The left loves tyranny.
I have absolutely nothing in common with the nanny-state left, and frankly, I’m wondering how much longer all the rancor can continue.

Hoss, what gets me about the lefties is that they’re bean-counters, not practical. I was reading a green architect boasting of a 3000-square ft house with a utility bill of only $109, well below the national average. Of course, I wanted to know the actual wattage, gallons, and CBUs. The house is in Arkansas, which isn’t too hot or too cold.
If they’re looking at averages, then a dinky house in the Midwest is as bad as a McMansion somewhere else. I don’t mind having the option of more efficient appliances and tight-sealing glass doors. But I don’t want to be told to wear more sweaters when I already set my thermostat between 58 and 64 degrees.

He was a bonehead when governor of Virginia. He got all kinds of kudos for balancing the budget. He did it mostly at the cost of senior citizens ages 62-64, who use to get a $6000 tax break at taxtime. Even if only 1% of the near 800,000 virginians were in those age groups, that. not only keeps $48mil in the govt’s pocket, it became taxable income… and still are pushing for more taxes. Thank God we elected McDonwell, a conservative, for governor. I feel he will make a difference. Warner is a multi-millionaire, 5th richest in congress at over $100Mil, so why should he care… typical Dem, so I don’t at all expect him to have a different attitude about how he spends our tax dollars… so far, He’s voted for all the outrageous tax and spend bills Obama has signed and I don’t expect him to be different about healthcare-less or the green BS. Whether he reads them or not, I’ve sent him a few emails telling him exactly how I feel.

Talk about being in denial.
His election-deselection day is coming…
