Paratrooper’s Mom Begs Obama: ‘End It’
As family and friends mourn a fallen U.S. paratrooper on Veteran’s Day, his mother made an emotional plea to President Barack Obama that it’s time to either bring home the troops or end the war in Afghanistan.“It’s time we do something. This has gone on too long. They either need to come home or we need to end it,” a tearful Denise Sherman said.
I wonder why WCVB Boston would opt to leave that segment out…?

Runs pretty horribly for me, and I’ve got a pretty fast connection. It stopped three times in the first 8 seconds.

Tried restarting my computer, and it’s still really, really slow. I mean, I get HD videos on Youtube fine, but this NQ video is running about 2 frames per second.
It could be because there are SO many scripts and widgets and such running on this page that Firefox is choking.

Runs fine today (Friday the 13th…) but just yesterday it was herky-jerky. Most likely cause is the Intarwebby thingie. I used to be working as a Network Engineer for a tier-1 Internet Service Provider, and believe me things can get wobbly when packets are being shoved around between different AS’s. One guy makes an incorrect entry in an edge router AS table and crap just starts hitting the fan. Don’t get me started on DNS…
