   Bob; you were not here when that Snipper was loose. I wish this could have been a question for Sotomayor. As a compassionate wise latnia, who would you have compassion on? A lone man who felt that society had let him down and that life was not fair to him, so he starts shooting people to express his anger?
   Or the millions of people terrorised by a man who instead of dealing with life and doing the right thing that every sane person does day in an d day out. The thousands of kids that got on a school bus and ducked down while it took them to school.
   The thousands of kids that pleaded with their mother not to go grocery shopping for fear that she would be shot (as my daughters did to my wife).

   Which one would you have compassion on?

   To me it is easy. I have compassion on the millions that were terrorised by this idiot.

   The people in my van pool (I did van pool then) said it had to be a whitey, because blacks don’t do that stuff. Of course we ‘whities’ did not throw it in their faces when he was foound to be black. But it was terrible. And as my point, who do we show compassion to. The left seems to want to show compassion to the killer and ignore all the victums.

   True and trained Snipers the world over should take loud offense at calling this evil idiot a ‘Sniper’.

   The distances involved were not even near the range to qualify, for starters.

   I was indeed in the VA/MD/DC area during the event, traveling by personal vehicle throughout the time.

   After analyzing the available press maps detailing the situation, I opted to carry only my 1911 .45 auto pistol, as the distances involved could be easily handled by any properly trained and practiced handgunner if the need should arise.

   Of course, I also took other precautions, avoiding gassing up at large and well lit gas stations, taking side highways rather than main routes and avoiding large shopping areas whenever possible. Because, contrary to the picture the left always likes to paint of the armed citizen, I look to avoid rather than confront.

   However, should confrontation be made inevitable by the “other party” — I intend to prevail.

   Condition One.

   And please quit denigrating snipers. This clown didn’t even know how to breathe, much less properly squeeze the trigger for a surgically precise 1,000 yard rifle shot.

   Ya know what bugs me about this Abortion crap… I being somewhat libertarian in some of my opinions, would most likely be characterized as ‘Pro Choice’ to those who have to pigeon hole. But the truth is less cut and dry. I do not condone abortion and do all I can to convince a woman not to do it (I still get sad that it didn’t work on my own sister). I do feel it is ultimately a woman’s right to choose for herself. YET at the same time is is NOT the right of the government to force every American to pay for someone else to decide to do something that horrifying that violates their principals. If some twat wants to kill her baby then she needs to pay for it her DAMN SELF.

   And Mr. Fancypants needs to back off on this one, Despite all the other horrifyingly stupid things he has done, touching the abortion debate publicly is a sure career killer. But then again, he is already the TOTUS, so where else can he go but down…

    Unfortunately Hasan chose to shoot the wrong people. Fellow Soldiers do not make Government Policy, Congress & the POTUS make Government Policy. He may have had a relevant argument if he did his shooting in DC instead of Fort Hood, in Texas. He may have gotten away with it there, as who is going to suspect one of our Soldiers of insurrection or assassination, especially an Officer. That said, I could understand why he may do it, but definitely don’t condone any such action. Machine is correct in discrediting the DC assassin as being a Sniper. It is an insult to our armed forces special units. What this guy did, could have been accomplished with a 22 caliber rifle, as there was not much skill required for such close range encounters. Both of these shooters were cowards in my opinion, as they shot unarmed victims who were no threat to them & had nothing to do with the reason for their anger. You will notice the shooters did not fire at armed Police until they had no choice, as they knew it would end their assassination of more victims. I can understand Defensive use of a Firearm, but killing of innocent victims for any reason, I will never understand.

    The video above looks like something Ms Pelosi would put together, as that is about all she is capable of understanding.
