President Obama pitched himself as someone who was going to bring the nation together. Granted, partisan politics did enter the discussion, but one would expect the president to be above denigrating those to whom he refers to as “ordinary people”…
According to Representative Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, who supports the health care bill, the president asked, “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”
Mr. President, as long as an violent overthrow isn’t promoted, being anti-government isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Ask the founders. And again, more arrogance: seeing through the tactics is seen by him as confusion.
What he seems to have a problem with is disagreement. You know, the same disagreement he had with the previous administration on issues that were a two or three on the scale of how they would affect the nation. Mr. Obama’s issues are between a seven and nine on that same scale and the free-speech left insist the gags they knew where meant for them, be used on We The Extremists.
“Extremists.” Look who’s talking.

So we wait patiently, comply with the law of the land, peacefully protest their tyrannical control, and await the actions of our would-be despots, our “leaders”, the extremists.

I have to wonder why the NYT published this report. Is it to further divide our nation, or is it to inform people of the reality behind the scenes. It may just be pandering to its readers, which, once again, is further evidence that the will of American citizens has been misrepresented. Good to know. Thanks NYT.

That Presidential BASTARD! Impeach him NOW! He’s Anti-American, hateful, racist, pretty much a NAZI – yes he’s doing what Adolf H. did. In hindsight, people can be so smarty pants. Then when history starts repeating itself, where are the smarty pants intellectuals to cry Never Again!
Especially on this day whereupon the Berlin Wall came down, this jack-ass is trying to build a new one to imprison Americans.
In thinking about this, it’s funny they didn’t build a fence or wall when they had a chance and the American people wanted it. They could be using it against us soon…

He is not Hitler, Stalin, or Mao Zedong, but a secretary general, serves the “elites” and their supporters first, and the rest of humanity second. This is unacceptable and should be protested.
That said, there is a place for social programs with a clear intent to rehabilitate people when they falter, but the involuntary exploitation and consolidation of power espoused by communism and socialism, are examples of failed, unsustainable systems, and affront to individual dignity. They create a people dependent on a government, which strives to perpetuate that dependence, at the expense of a population it purports to protect.
Humans either have an inherent dignity, or we will continue involuntary exploitation of each other to suit an individual’s or group’s whims. And no, population control is not a solution.

This Administration & the Sheeple (Libs) remind me of the movie “The Time Machine”. They ignore reality & Libs don’t act to help someone in trouble, much like the people in the movie when one person is drowning. Rather than jump in to save them, they watch & expect someone else to do it. When the Horn Sounds (Obama the Morlock), they go in a trance like state to their own destruction without ever thinking for themselves. Conservatives on the other hand will kick the Morlock’s ass & fight to preserve their life & others freedom. I no longer try to change lib’s ways of thinking, as it is like trying to stop a Jackass from kicking or braying. I will continue my un-support for Obama & this Congress, as they no longer Support the Constitution or its principles or the Majority of US Citizens wishes. True Patriots will point this Country in the Constitutional Direction this Country was founded for, by whatever means necessary to preserve its Citizens Freedom & Prosperity & repress Government Control not authorized by the Constitution & its Amendments.

People must rehabilitate themselves, from the inside. No one can rehabilitate another. The intent of social programs is often mis-guided and they seldom work as intended.

Wasn’t it Biden who referred to Obama as an articulate, nice looking black man? Yeah, real articulate with a Harvard education and a potty mouth, as well as a huge ego and the thinnest skin of any leader I’ve ever known. His attitude is that of a Chicago street hood, not a president. Buck Ofama.
I have had it with this lame excuse for leadership. That includes all of the cheating lying elected officials, as well as all of the congress critters who voted for this horrible healthcare bill. I cannot wait for 2010.

I agree. However, while only an individual can complete the process, as in a family, we offer measured, finite support to enable the rehabilitation. Any assistance that society provides to an individual, would leave the person indebted to society. That debt would need to be repaid in the form of a contribution that promotes the general welfare. Furthermore, I would consider that assistance as a charitable endeavor, and as such, contributions to those programs should be voluntary. In fact, we already have “not-for-profit” businesses that should be employed in this venture. It’s unfortunate that so many exist primarily for the benefit of their employees.
I haven’t considered all of the exceptions, but I would start the discussion from this point.
