A controversial play which portrays Jesus as a transsexual woman was defended yesterday by its writer who has herself crossed the gender barrier to live as a woman. Jesus, Queen of Heaven, has caused a storm of protest from Christian evangelical groups, who picketed the Tron Theatre in Glasgow when it opened this week.
One person’s “controversy” is another’s justification for murderous Jihad. But author “Jo Clifford — formerly the playwright John Clifford” will be considered courageous, for all it’s worth.
Ah yes. Us conservatives just don’t get the sophistication of portraying jesus as gay….or a transsexual woman, or whatever the flavor of the month will be next.
Yes, jesus is so unimportant that you can change who he was, yet he quotes the gospel “Don’t judge” like we should heed those wise (and out of context) words.

Once again, a reminder, Christianity represents the single largest group of like-minded individuals in this world, and are an obstacle to the regressive agendas. The attacks on Christians and their faith should be expected and will continue.

Unfortunately, for those that would impose their deviant behavior on society, we are sexual creatures. They have been afforded every right by society, except marriage, and preferably, excluding child rearing (they claim there are too many humans as it is anyway). Yet they demand marriage, and nothing else will be acceptable. The idealogues behind this agenda have demonstrated their intolerance, over, and over, again. They continue to attack Christianity because Christians are an obstacle to their agendas. The question remains, once they finish with the pacificist Christians, will they pursue the members of Islam. I doubt it. Muslims don’t play that game, and at one time, Christians didn’t either — Muslims know that all too well.
By the way, Godzilla, was a cool flick.

A lot has been lost in the translation of the Bible. Say the word “Samaritan” and people think “Good” automatically.
The point of the story can best be illustrated by translating it into the Deep South, around 1920.
A white travelling sales rep was mugged, and lay bleeding on the side of the road. Along came a white Baptist Preacher – who passed by, not willing to get his reputation sullied with a guy who was probably drunk. Then along came a white Church Deacon – but he didn’t want to get involved.
Finally, along came a poor black sharecropper, and he bathed the victim’s wounds and took him to hospital.
See the difference? Because Samaritans weren’t looked on as “real jews” by the rest. A bit like mormons aren’t looked on as “real christians” these days by many.
“Sadducee” is best translated as “Catholic”, the hierarchical priestly traditionalists, “Pharisee” as “Baptist”. the democratic protestants.
It makes a lot more sense now, doesn’t it?
I’m not at all sure that having Jesus come back in a transsexual body makes much of a point. Coming back as a woman of colour in 21st century USA would be adequate to illustrate the persecution.

Basically, men and women differ as much in the fine structure of their brains as they do in their external genitalia. We can see that now in fMRI scans and in autopsies – mainly the latter, the differences are often at the cellular level.
Transsexuals have masculinised brains in feminised bodies (like Chaz Bono), or the reverse. Calling it a “mental illness” is like saying someone who’s blind due to a congenital brain anomaly is “mentally ill” as he only thinks he can’t see.
The old saw about “man trapped in a woman’s body” turns out to be literally true. That’s an over-simplification – different parts of the brain are cross-sexed to a greater or lesser degree – but it captures the essence. We can reliably induce this in animals by manipulating hormones during foetal development.
Trans women are women from birth, no matter what they looked like superficially. And besides which, some people are dichogamous, they get a “natural sex change” from one or another Intersex condition, usually 5alpha-reductase-2 deficiency (5alpha-RD-2) or 17beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase-3 deficiency (17beta-HSD-3).
It’s rare worldwide – but in the Dominican Republic, 1 in 90 men were born looking like girls – “guevedoches”.
