Blonde Moment Of The Day

Blonde News ChannelThe excuse is as we’re in this 24-hour news cycle, stories are cranked out quickly and sometimes fact-check and verification is the casual. This is one of those moments and I relayed that incorrect information on to you.

At 10:15AM ET during America’s Newsroom on Fox News Channel, co-host Martha MacCallum reported that in a gaggle with reporters Wednesday morning White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs claimed that President Obama did not watch election results Tuesday night but rather watched an HBO special about his 2008 campaign.

A tipster contacted NewsBusters questioning that report and after having acquired a transcript of the press gaggle, we have confirmed that the Fox News report was incorrect and Gibbs did not make any such statement.

While it would be easy for me to launch on Martha MacCallum and her irritating inhale-laugh, she’s probably just a victim of an over-zealous teleprompter. One would think Fox News would be a little more careful, seeing how they’re in the very public White House crosshairs.

Based on that erroneous report, I made some disparaging remarks about the president. In context with that specific report, I retract those comments.

Well, at least Fox News had the courage to admit their mistake.

And now back to the editorial journalism on CBS, with the DNC chairperson, Katie Couric.

rats, it was SUCH a good story…great visual…The Chosen one watching himself on an HBO special, and perhaps making a copy to send to the Queen of England….

Guess Who Said Which Biased Statement: CBS’s Katie Couric or DNC Chair Tim Kaine

The similarities between the DNC Chair’s words and CBS’s Katie Couric’s October 27 Award winning comments are striking.

    They’re interchangeable.
