Obviously one we’d never see today without the usual condemnation.

Unfortunately, this speech doesn’t apply to Dems/Liberals…they are the anti-thesis of the type of American exemplified in the speech.

  2. IT Nerd says:

George C. Scott was born to portray General Patton.

  3. Nicolas says:

ah yes, the opening of “Patton”, gotta love it. Have that movie in my DVD library

  4. IT Nerd says:

And, I am pleased to say that my Dad was proud to have served with the 80th Infantry Div. in Patton’s 3rd Army.

  5. Nicolas says:

wow, hats off and a salute to your Dad, IT!

You could also submit to your masters, if that happens to be your fetish. I wonder how atheists, faux agnostics, and pretenders of faith, are able to reconcile their bowing to mortal gods and condemnation of a divine God. Are they lunatics, masochists, or simply pathetic excuses for a sentient being. You can’t reject both God and nature, and you can’t selectively acknowledge both (speaking of Gore).

Here is a career lead. There is a nascent and growing need for psychotherapists.

  7. Dave J says:

My dad was with the 82nd AB Div. Honor Guard that Gen. Patton saw during the occupation of Berlin. Afterward, Patton commented that they were the best he had seen.

  8. Reality83 says:

And I am pleased to say that I am a fellow Southern Gentleman of Kappa Alpha Order (Gamma Kappa Fall 2001) along with General Patton.

  9. IT Nerd says:

Thanks, Nicholas! Like most WWII vets, he didn’t talk much about his experiences.

Dave J – Did your Dad participate in D-Day?

  10. Dave J says:

Nerd, nah he just missed it and hooked up with the All Americans just after the Market Garden drop. Fought through Belgium including the Bulge and on to Berlin. Later served with the 10th, 5th and 1st Special Forces Groups. Just recently learned that he did a short stint between the 10th and 5th Groups with the 3rd US Inf. ” The Old Guard” at Ft. Myer/Arlington and have had the pleasure of corresponding with some of the outstanding soldiers he served with there.

  11. IT Nerd says:

    Dave –

Are you familiar with the “D-Day to the Rhine” tour from stephenambrosetours.com? We visited the places you cited above and it was a fantastic trip.

  12. Eric says:

I made the big mistake of seeing Dr. Strangelove before Patton and I keep thinking of George C. Scott as General Buck Turgidson. Powerful Speech none the less.
