Aren’t liberals the ones always accusing Republicans of being stooges incapable of independent thought, reciting talking points from the party? On Rush Limbaugh,
He’s marketing the outrageous. And he does very well with it. But as I said, he’s an entertainer.
— David Axelrod, Obama adviser, Face The Nation
A day later, actor Ted Danson says…
Danson goes off on Limbaugh “the entertainer” for exploiting fear.
This is the same Ted Danson who 20 years ago said that if we didn’t stop polluting the oceans, we’d all be dead in ten years. He used that fear to …
… create the American Oceans Campaign in 1987, which eventually became Oceana in 2001. In the last two decades, Ted has appeared in public service announcements, appealing to donors and testifying to the government on the condition of our oceans.
What’s the expertise that enabled him to speak on Capitol Hill with any kind of authority?
He’s an entertainer.

Hypocrite, thy name is Danson.
I recommend that, at every opportunity, it be pointed out that Danson, Goldbert, Garofalo, etc. are entertainers, and comic entertainers at that. There is nothing wrong with that, but critical thinking skills are not required to be successful as a comic entertainer. Just being an entertainer with easy access to the public’s ear does not imbue a person with wisdom or experience unrelated to his profession.
Moreover, everyone is entitled to his own opinions, and no one is more obligated than anyone else to ensure that his opinions make sense.
Repeat at every opportunity.
Bob, why’d you go and make me watch Ted Danson so early in the morning?
I guess the only good news out of this ridiculous charade they put on with such arrogance and elitism, is that Behar is no longer teaching.
Two irrelevants….nice wig, Ted. Vanity, thy name is…….liberal celebrity.
hmmmm… I catch a whiff of materialistic jealousy.
