The B&R Saturday Matinee

The administration’s intentions for us all.

Valerie B. Jarrett: The New US Agenda
This was recorded at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland a week after Barack Obama was inaugurated. While, as would become trademark, the first part of Jarrett’s speech was all about Obama, see how much of the administration’s “vision” has been set in motion to date….

    Errata on the above post.

OK, it was fairly late in the day (for me), my 16-year-old son (who reads B&R every day) was looking over my shoulder and I didn’t proofread it. Here are some corrections:

    “. . . jubilant yet peaceful [and messy] celebration. . .”

“I think knowing Chicago is essential to knowing about our new president.” So do we. And what we know about Chicago (mobsters in commerce and politics) is not encouraging.

“I think knowing Chicago is essential to knowing about our new president.”

“Chicago is a place where a person can arrive with absolutely nothing . . .” and leave with a good deal less.

“. . . reliable, just like our new President.” He is indeed reliable. We can certainly rely on him to dissemble, deceive, demean America and its traditional values (need I go on?).

“I could tell right from the start that they [Barack and Michele] were real partners . . .” in crime.

“. . . responsibility to our families, our communities . . .” and especially to those who got me where I am today.
