Bonehead Runner-Up Of The Day

I and many others made the following points to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell about his ignorant and biased statements against Rush Limbaugh. He obviously felt he could blow off the fans who support the product he promotes. However, it took a congressman to get him to answer some of the questions and they were as lame as his attempt at damage control.

What Commissioner Goodell has demonstrated is that his NFL is two-faced.

One face is that of family-friendly sports entertainment. The other is one where players can shoot civilians and themselves, hit and kill pedestrians with their cars, beat up girlfriends and dogs, and anyone seeking partnership in the league who comments truthfully about them are called racists, while existing team ownership can perform provocative material on CDs that have a warning label just because they are part of a minority, politically-correct, protected class.

Roger Goodell is a poor excuse for an executive, let alone commissioner of a professional sports league. He shits on his fans, persecutes private citizens who wish to buy into a league he presides over, not owns. He passes judgment based on inuendo, not on facts and is not fit to be a leader of men and a protector of fans.

Rush Limbaugh was a fan and look what Goodell did to him.

Anyone think he really gives a damn about us?

    Um, that’s a rhetorical, isn’t it?

I stopped watching professional sports a long time ago. Infact, I never really started. Just the idea of watching a bunch of spoiled children, and even the not spoiled children, getting paid more than even the highest paid doctor… to play a freaken game. A 5 second play, then 10 minutes of analysis and a bunch of proped up nobodies waxing on about it.

Now, can I respect that what they do is hard? Absolutely. But is it really worth that much? And do they really deserve the special treatment they get, just because they have celebrity status? If I was a doctor, and was running a dog fighting ring, and got caught…..Id be lucky if my local free clinic would hire me. But whatshisface…hes really good at throwin that thar football!

Am I against the free market system, and trying to deny the millions of people who want to pay whatever it is they pay to see their favorite team play? Absolutely not. But people really need to curve their spending on this stuff. It literally doesn’t affect a thing in the outside word(unless you count victory/loss riots) but people act like its life and death. And collectively, people throw away ridiculous amounts of money that could do so much good elsewhere.

    nope.

if I was interested in any other team than the 49ers, I might back off from being a fan of a professional football team for a while, but with the legacy of the red & gold, it’s hard NOT to be a fan. I’m just pissed at the management of the NFL Commish..

That was very good. Talk about a “stupid Jock”. White, black, cream-colored. That man is Stupid…

  5. Fuzzlenutter says:

Wow. I just re-watched that and I cannot say anything more but CYA stupidity…

    Why is Congress involved?

  7. Reality83 says:

Just another case of a coward in power. Goodell is so weak and I agree with you Mr. Parks, he doesn’t give a damn about anything but his image. Mr. King shut him both up and down, laid facts on him that he couldn’t weasel or attorney talk his way out of and was left with a lemonface.
