Typical American, thinking how to solve problems and leaving the bed covers behind. It must be good to be an adult. I am certain many "children" envy your self-motivation and initiative.

JR:

Consensus is the absence of leadership...

and in science it is a wash without evidence to support it.

Continued - required for Virginia & Northern States. My dog is on my lap again, have to remember to disable my touch pad as she is nosy, with her real nose. She posted on me again before I finished. I can't get rid of her, she thinks I'm her daddy! We do look alike, but she is cuter & better looking.

Chairman, President and CEO
Questar Corporation: Energy Myths and Realities

Speech by Rattie at UVU.

Yes, he represents "Big Natural Gas".
Yes, he is an AGW/AGCC skeptic -- surprise, surprise, right?
No, he is not affiliated with "Big Green".
And no, I do not know if he uses a teleprompter, or two.

Global cooling? Fixed that! I called Fire Dispatch Center & told them I had a "Controlled Burn". I then lit about 160 bushels of leaves. One hellofafire! Warmed up my backside very nicely. So much for Global Cooling! The low Sun Spot activity is supposed to continue for at least another five years, but my Solar Hot Water System still gets up to 180 degrees F. in about six hours. I might even consider adding a larger storage tank & more panels to supplement my heat if oil prices continue to rise. If it works in Upstate NY even in zero degree temps. It will be terrific from S. Carolina to the Florida Keys. Oh, I almost forgot the circulating pumps involved use less electricity than a 20 watt light bulb & can be Solar Electric powered. If you are handy, you can build solar collectors for less than $150. Just one is enough for S. Carolina & South. Two or three are requ

If people are concerned about a 1-2 degree rise in average global temperature, then they should be terrified of a fall. With cooling we will require more energy to produce heat, develop agriculture, raise livestock, etc. This will be problematic for humans, animals, plants, and machines alike. A global cooling will have far more serious consequences than a global warming.

It would be in our best interest for all interests to participate in the research of the Earth system, regardless of bias, so long as the research is substantiated and supported. Continued denial of models failing to conform to reality, dismissal of contradictory physical evidence, and slandering contrary views, is not productive science, and is a disservice to the people of this world.

We will have the debate denied us. The resurgence of closed minds to scientific discovery and lack of accountability is not in our best interest. We should act to prevent a regression into a new Dark Age.

Something to consider, dependence and correlation:

Global Warming... on Mars

Now scientists at NASA's Ames Research Centre in California have gone part of the way to explaining this change in the planet's climate, by researching changes in dust and reflected heat from the sun.

The research shows that between the 70s and 90s, Mars warmed by point 0.65 degrees Celsius.

Here on earth the average temperature rose by point 0.75 during the 20th century.

And for the past decade the average temperature on Earth has declined, which just happens to coincide with reduced solar activity.

For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

The sun is in the pits of the deepest solar minimum in nearly a century.

Whatever happens, notes Hathaway, "the sun is behaving in an
interesting way and I believe we're about to learn something new."

Just a coincidence? The Chinese, Russians, et al, don't think so, and it is now painfully obvious that many others don't also.

You don't have to be trained as a scientist or engineer to understand that the same gas that is supposed to be holding heat inside our atmosphere also let that heat IN. From the sun.

Gore et al have never explained the magic one-way CO2 gas phenomenon.

Follow the money, follow the money, follow the money...

Who's making the big buck off of Carbon Offsets, grants to study AGW, etc.?

The (so-called) scientists that study Gore-bull Warming, that's who!

Being Chicken Little never paid so well, and of course anybody that goes against the consensus suffers financially and in status.

Methinks, though, that as the globe enters another cooling period (oh, wait - we're already there!!) the Great Unwashed Masses are going to finally wake up to the hoax and beat the AGW hucksters to death with an icicle.

One can hope.

My favorite quote: ‘disastrous climate changes that spiral dynamically out of humanity’s control.’

So we're currently in control of the climate?!? If that's so, how can I make it stop raining on my yard? I don't want to mow anymore this year. Oh, right, we can't do that.
