considering Bob has started creating the “open thread” topics, I’d like to move for a motion to create an official Black & Right forum associated with the website, down the road at some point?

As soon as I figure out how to integrate one onto the B&R site, it’s a done deal.

Earlier today, I had to go out shopping. I couldn’t help but notice some anti-war protesters picketing in front of our local congressman’s office. The problem is our congressman is a republican. If only I had more time to stop and tell them that they are pointing in the wrong direction. I like the idea of a forum.
It would attract more libnuts to keep us entertained.

Another government success story.
TIGTA Audits IRS’s Administration of First-Time Homebuyer Credit
As a result of the IRS’s inaction, TIGTA’s report found that 19,351 taxpayers claimed $139.4 million in credits for homes they had not yet purchased but would allegedly purchase in the future. In addition, 70,005 taxpayers claimed more than $479 million in credits, despite indications that they were not first-time homebuyers. TIGTA also identified 582 taxpayers under 18 years of age who claimed almost $4 million in First-Time Homebuyer Credits. The youngest taxpayers receiving the Credit were 4 years old.
TIGTA’s recommendation:
TIGTA also recommended that the IRS require taxpayers to provide documentation to verify a home purchase.
…
TIGTA also recommended that the IRS examine questionable claims for the Credit and seek reimbursement where appropriate.
The IRS’s response:
The IRS disagreed with both recommendations, stating that other strategies being employed would mitigate TIGTA’s concerns.
…
The IRS was unclear on their plans to seek reimbursement on questionable claims for the Credit and disagreed with requiring documentation to support eligibility.

Well, this is weird.
British nuclear expert dies in 40-metre plunge
British nuclear energy expert involved in negotiations with Iran over its nuclear programme fell 40 metres to his death from a UN building in Vienna.
…
UN staff told the Austrian Times that there had been a similar case recently in which an employee died when he fell from a comparable height.
Very weird indeed. Almost as weird as this:
Employee falls to her death from UN building
They’re dropping like flies.

When you are without integrity you will crumble, or crunch.
Such a shame… a damn shame.

The slide into depravity and insanity. It is not often I shudder when considering the lunatics in this world, but your post continues to resonate.
If we are ever disposable, then we are always disposable.

n.n:
I don’t believe this is a “slide into depravity and insanity”, it has been going on for as long as people have been around. It’s just that we are far removed from places that practice these sorts of things. They don’t see the world as we do. Not trying to defend the practices.

bobkatowc51:
it has been going on…
Yes it has. That’s why I regard the ideology, and the associated movement which promotes this relativism, as regressive.
They don’t see the world as we do.
Actually, the ones who are affected by the depravity and insanity, recognize it as such.
