A little piece of the obvious for John Guerra: Don’t put things in print that you’ll wimp out answering to later.
The email below, from a reporter of the Key News in Florida, speaks volumes about the mainstream media’s outlook on the political issues of the day. It is hard to know where to begin in dissecting this e-mail.
You know what? I don’t believe one word you or other conservatives say. The Republican Party is now a mentally ill group of people who want nothing more than destroy Obama’s first term no matter how much the country needs his policies.
I despise your party’s activities and the hatred you spew of Fox and other sounding boards for the insurance companies. Please don’t you dare get him killed, which is the underlying goal of you right wing nuts.
When the Democrats went on a search and destroy mission on George W. Bush from his first day in office. And “don’t you dare get him killed” sounds a tad flamboyant (not that there’s anything wrong with that). At least no one on the right would ever make a movie about a president’s death.

Now that we can express disagreement with policies, without concern for “racist” condemnation, this would indeed be the proper course of action. This is the continued peaceful restoration of our republic and individual dignity.
From the time of the election, I wanted the best for the President and the worst for the policies that he espoused and has continued. I pray that some nut-job doesn’t get wound up and fulfill what seems to be a liberal bent for sacrificing the “Chosen One” in order to ‘resurrect’ his policies. Only when the people begin pushing back against these liberal policies, does it scare liberals so much that they begin making statements like this. You see what they are trying to do in the wake of Sen. Kennedy’s death (promote a gov’t run health care systemt, when he, himself enjoyed the benefits of a free-market health care system). They realize martyrdom could be the ticket to really advancing the cause. Having Obama for the next +3 years might not be the worst outcome for the country. Let the liberals keep talking themselves into political corners and have to stand for the decisions they make. The best chance conservatives have is to continue to hold the line until next year when liberals will have to face a public that they will need to re-elect them.
