Gov’t Propaganda Of The Day

Aside from the day-to-day banter from political hacks, I always assumed partisan messages and interaction were not supposed to be on government entities or property paid for by taxpayers? Then again, since when do rules apply to Democrats…
State Your Support

Senate Finance ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is raising concerns that a Department of Health and Human Services Web site that urges visitors to send an e-mail to President Barack Obama praising his health care reform plan may violate rules against government-funded propaganda.

The Web page is accessed through a “state your support” button featured prominently on the HHS Web site and carries a disclaimer that the Web site is maintained by HHS.

How much praise do these people need?

    PB-in-AL:

The report is on the Republican’s “House Ways and Means” site.

  2. PB-in-AL says:

@n.n – what happened to the other 7 states???? :)

  3. n.n says:

    More propaganda…

7 Months After Stimulus 49 of 50 States Have Lost Jobs

This is what happens when you implement economics -101.

Note to the imbeciles in the ivory tower: It only works in theory, or more aptly referred to as speculation, if it were not for the history and present failed experiments which have set the precedent.

  4. n.n says:

More propaganda? No wonder Obama needed a pat on the head.

Excuses wearing thin for Obama, media pals

and the Obama approval poll (on the same page):

    approve: 5%
    disapprove: 95%
    (45304 voites)

Yeah, I know, it’s not scientific, but so what. The results were probably skewed in response to the leading article. Excellent article, by the way.

‘Doc fix’ collapses, Reid tells colleagues AMA led him astray

Reid told reporters on Wednesday that he was led to believe that more than two dozen Republicans would vote for the bill.

Democratic senators are not certain whether the AMA told Reid directly that it could deliver 27 Republicans or made its estimate known through intermediaries.

Another MoochOn (as in he has his Mooch On).

The comedy, will it ever stop?

  6. n.n says:

Mommy, tell me again how good I am. I won, didn’t I?

There is something seriously wrong with an ideology that relies on exploitation and redistribution.

Grassley is feeling the heat from his constituents (me included) to shape up as he’s up for re-election in 2010. Too bad Tom Harkin (D)(AKA guy that lives in the Bahamas but says he lives in Iowa) just got re-elected in ’08 so we’re stuck with that gasbag for a while.

  8. Nicolas says:

and my former high school teacher has the balls to call MY truth that WE have “conservative propaganda”. my GOD…

“urges visitors to send an e-mail to President Barack Obama praising his health care reform plan”

    exactly

Hey, there’s nuthin’ better than being a “legend in your own mind.”
