as my former teachers would’ve been quick to sway me to the left, thank god all my instincts made me question THEIR affiliation. I think if anything, it would’ve been cool to have Bob has a high school teacher back when I was in high school

The people of Russia and other former Soviet states haven’t fared very well

I have to correct this statement. It is an exaggeration. Russia and the former republics are faring better under capitalism, but the United States remains a leader in the world with regard to economics and the general welfare of its people.

That said, we should nip the rise of “elites” in the bud, before they consolidate control over our institutions and change the Constitution to serve their agendas. The government should provide oversight, and leave the rest of life’s incidentals to the people. They are not our superiors, and people like Jarrett prove that point.

Wow! I knew there was corruption in this country, but the scale and magnitude would put the Soviets to shame. It is truly insidious and widespread. Eventually, this extreme corruption will collapse the system, resulting in the same fate that befell the CCCP. Hopefully, we can avoid the Stalin years and reemerge with a reformed population. The people of Russia and other former Soviet states haven’t fared very well, but maybe Americans will.

If we are really lucky, the competing interests will reestablish a balance beneficial to all people, and not just the “elites” and their supporters, before it is too late.

Citizen journalists continue to expose those who are complicit.
