Remember this when holier-than-thou, post-racial liberals lecture the rest of the population about racism.
Democratic Underground: LOL the Illinois GOP is running Isaac Hayes (not chef) against Jesse Jackson Jr.

I wonder if Maureen Dowd’s been Underground lately?
Of course, don’t hold your breath hoping the media would reveal this latest example of Democrat race hypocrisy.
There they go again. Isaac Hayes (no, not that one, who, alas, has left us) is running for Congress in Chicago. Mr. Hayes is actually the Rev. Isaac Hayes, and you can learn more about him from his website. So a man runs for Congress, what’s the big deal? The big deal is the reaction to Rev. Hayes’ announcement from Democrats. Rev. Hayes, you see, is not just a Republican. No, no. Bad as that may be, Rev. Hayes is…gasp!…a black man! Yes! A black man, a Republican who is black! On top of which he has the audacity to challenge Illinois Congressman Jesse Jackson.
Take especial note of the comments about Rev. Hayes here. Is Hayes being taken to task here on issues like, say health care? Afghanistan strategy? Naaaaaaah. What are, you crazy? The White Democratic Underground (or White DU) has focused on — what do you think? Race, but of course. Rev. Hayes is mocked as an “Oreo,” a “black guy,” “Chocolate Salty Balls,” while another White DU’er is relieved they live in “the Southern part of the state” — apparently so he or she doesn’t have to face a choice between Jackson and Hayes, African-Americans both.
The rest, considering the inherent nature and history of the left, was expected

Wow, it’s never ending. The GOP is damned if they do have people of color among its candidates, and damned if they don’t!
It’s amazing how small minded these libs are, with their false crooning about being tolerant of all people. I like the guy who says he’s going to vote democrat till he turns green. So, you wouldn’t check on what a candidate stands for, before deciding to vote for them? Pretty asinine, pretty typical, pretty darn partisan!
BS, I call. And they are going down next election cycle, if not absolutely everywhere, in many many places!

Why am I not surprised. It’s to be expected whenever a conservative that happens to be black runs for public office, there must be something wrong with them.
Despite a long history of the Republican party being the party that freed the slaves, the party that in the 19th century enacted laws to protect the most basic civil rights for blacks, and the party whose members voted to reinstate those civil rights laws in the 20th century after the Democrats rescinded most of them; there’s just no way any self respecting black person could be a Republican…or conservative.
On another note, I wonder what these morons on that site said about those wonderful children who murdered the other child in cold blood…
in a Democrat controlled community
in a Democrat controlled county
in a Democrat controlled state

So sad, Unfortunately, that district is the most Democratic in the entire state so there’s no reason to to resort to that. To echo Trichmac, the GOP is damned if they don’t, damned if they do get a minority candidate. Being that the district is almost 2/3s black, they’d be called out of touch if they went with a white candidate.
Best of luck to you sir, Mr Issac Hayes.

It seemed that some people making comments about Rev. Hayes actually thought he WAS the Issac Hayes of Shaft and South Park fame (and that he was still among the living).
Seeing how Obama supporters are typically uninformed, this may work in Rev. Hayes favor.

“Of course, don’t hold your breath hoping the media would reveal this latest example of Democrat race hypocrisy.”
well you’ve exposed that for years, Bob, that’s all the example we need, especially when the media doesn’t have the spine to do so, and damn do we enjoy it. liberal hypocrisy is fun!
