He has a reputation of being a control freak. Some even consider him an asshole, and that’s within his own organization. So, what does he do? He proves everyone right….
Last week, Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini addressed fining one of his players $1,701 for not paying the hotel bill for a $3 bottle of water.
To protest Mangini’s fines against players, two grievances already have been filed with the NFL Players Association, said a league source, and three more are in the process of being filed now on behalf of Browns players.
Good coaches are respected by their teams. It’s only taken Mangini through Week Two of his first season with one of the league’s worst (after being jettisoned by a team he let fall apart last year) to again illustrate that some people just don’t have what it takes to be a leader.

Too true. All too often hacks and people who brown nose their way to the top get into positions of power, and they are completely ineffective leaders and/or have no freaken clue how to run things.
One of those New England coaches that was considered a genius by way of his Belichek association. Their collective track record ain’t looking good.
Browns suck. In all my years of being a loyal Cleveland _______ fan, I have yet to experience any of my favorite sports teams be crowned “World Champs”
After the way the Clowns played yesterday, they are “World Chumps”
girzwald: I thought we were talking about Mangini, not Obama?
