Probably the safest place to be today.
IN THE NAME OF ALLAH….
— The Athan will be chanted on Capitol Hill, echoing off of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill
— Thousands of Muslims from all races, creeds, colors and ethnicities will gather for the sole purpose of prayer
— Bonds of friendship will be formed between those in attendance, both Muslims and Non-Muslims
— Muslim youth will experience tours of the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court.
— The peace, beauty and solidarity of Islam will shine through America’s capitol.
I’m waiting for Barry Lynn to try walking around with a “separation of church and state” sign today, if he has the guts….

Meanwhile, in a related story, young Muslims arrested in other states for visiting, photgraphing and planning to bomb subways and Federal buildings…
From the article linked on Barry Lynn: “Lynn is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, offering him a unique perspective on church-state issues.”
Uhm yeah. My experience with UCC ministers while telemarketing Christian stuff years ago was that they were only marginally demonstrative of that whole “Christian” thing. I could count on being cussed at as from a NJ longshoreman. I remember one of my co-workers warning me about them when I got my call list and had a bunch of UCC churches listed; he was right. I was not treated civilly by a single one of them.
As a result of my experience, last year’s hoopla about “rev.” Wright didn’t surprise me in the least.

Do you think they have an ulterior motive? There are many muslims today, that regret their ancestors’ inability to conquer Europe, Russia, etc. Although, they did fare well against the Jews, once upon a time.
