Stossel On CanadaCareIf the universal health care “public option” was so great, why does it kick in the year after President Obama’s reelection? Maybe because if people experienced it for what it is today, Obama and the Democrats who are pushing this would be toast tomorrow. Just ask Canadians. I guess they’re all wrong as well.

I like John Stossel. In fact, I watched his special on “Greed” yesterday in my economics class, explaining why so-called “Greed” is very good and how setting up businesses in poor countries is often better than simply giving money to them.
The best part was when the self-proclaimed Liberal classmates of mine started agreeing with him.

When our new provincial Premier was elected in 2003 he stood by his promice to eliminate private MRI clinics in Ontario. You know what the results were? People who were willing to pay for an MRI got dumped back into the public system, extending the waiting list, the private clinics had to close, throwing people out of work, and of course the rich and connected were not affected at all. If Aaron Hill from the BlueJays goes down with a knee injury, do you think he’ll wait in line for months to get a diagnosis, or will he be in Buffalo the next day at a private clinic?
To me that is the perfect example of leftism. It doesn’t matter if the result is good or bad, doesn’t matter if their schemes help anyone, as long as it fits into their ideology. Everyone is equal. Except for the elite. They are more equal.

What is surprising is that ABC news allowed him to do this story.
I can’t wait to see what kind of stories he will run when he gets to Fox. I may have told this story before here, but a friend of mine ran into a Canadian at a local pharmacy. She was telling the
pharmacist that “we have no idea what we are asking for”
God help us all if this thing goes through

Stossel is a God among insects at ABC.
Everything he’s done that I’ve seen has been simply outstanding.
