To me the most glaring example is the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act-which is killing small business, independent artisans, and average folks at garage sales. The UN needs to keep its story straight. Just yesterday I read a story about the UN pushing birth control(s) for developing nations, in order to prevent overpopulation. This swine flu seems like an opportunity to “rightsize” the world, no?

Yes, the feminist movement didn’t do much for women – when it began promoting the idea that women should escape from their “comfortable concentration camps” of marriage and home (the Freidan quote that made me realize that there was a HUGE difference between a WASP view of feminism and that of my mother and grandmother.) That study she quotes is hilarious: “Across the happiness data, the one thing in life that will make you less happy is having children.” The UN would approve that message.
