Quote Of The Day

Madeleine AlbrightIn the proud tradition of Democrats going overseas, bashing their country, and thinking we won’t hear what was said…

We have been talking about our exceptionalism during the recent eight years. Now, an average American wants to stay at home – they do not need any overseas adventures. We do not need new enemies.

My generation has made many mistakes. We give the future into the hands of the young. Your prime goal is to overcome the gap between the poor and the rich.
Madeleine Albright, Former US Secretary of State, at the Young Entrepreneurs International Business Forum, Siberia

Well, we aren’t that exceptional any more and it’s still a work in progress, thanks to Albright’s Democrats.

They’re not just bashing their country. They are also bashing our citizen soldiers:

Military growing impatient with Obama on Afghanistan

Those officials said that taking time could be costly because the U.S. risked losing the Afghans’ support. “Dithering is just as destructive as 10 car bombs,” the senior official in Kabul said. “They have seen us leave before. They are really good at picking the right side to ally with.”

This is what happens when people make haphazard commitments.

‘We’re pinned down:’ 4 U.S. Marines die in Afghan ambush

U.S. commanders, citing new rules to avoid civilian casualties, rejected repeated calls to unleash artillery rounds at attackers dug into the slopes and tree lines — despite being told repeatedly that they weren’t near the village.

This is what happens when support is not forthcoming and you betray those who have committed to serve their country and fellow human beings.

The CiC cannot lead (or worse). He states that victory is not the goal. Does he intend to allow fellow Americans to die, only to leave behind an unstable nation, and millions of people subject to revenge by the radicals in their land? Does BS prefer the Taliban and Al Quaeda to equal opportunity and liberty for all?

It seems Albright has become senile in her silver years. She has become just as disconnected from reality as the other liberal/progressive drones.

It is time to bring our soldiers home, or replace the CiC with a leader that does not betray those who serve. He supports those who “serve” in our country (e.g., ACORN, SEIU, etc.), but not those who serve abroad the interests of our nation and people of other nations with similar beliefs in individual dignity — very telling.

Yes, my goal is to overcome the gap between the Rich and the Poor. I would like to move from the poor side of the gap to the rich one.

  3. n.n says:

    Mauser:

Did you vote Democrat? Equal outcome is only guaranteed to those who vote the “left” way. This is the lesson of history, and there is no reason to believe the people “leading” us today are different than their predecessors.

What we really need is competing interests, and people with the means to support those interests. A society built on entitlements will not stand, much like the fool and his money are soon parted.

Obviously, you are not a fool. We each strive for self-sufficiency, and as empowered individuals we form an enduring society. This is the outcome of divesting ourselves from governing monopolies, which ultimately prove to be corrupt and incompatible with individual dignity.

    Mauser:

Sorry, I didn’t express myself correctly. Your statement triggered an association and a response, but it was not directed at you.

  5. Mauser says:

Yeah, I never said I wanted to CLOSE that gap, or bridge it. I just want to be on the other side of it…. *grin*

  6. The Machine says:

After all these years, I still like the Mauser controlled-feed bolt action design…

@n.n – regarding the administration’s support of the soldiers in Afghanistan, I think that O and his boys are trying to thin the military out of folks that actually know how to fight and care about what is right. Isn’t that what happened in Vietnam, in essence. That whole generation of men, many who were supportive of their oath to the Constitution were sidelined or killed through that war. Once they came home they were seen as pariahs and their voices muted (for a time).

The folks who fight for the Constitution, who really believe in what they’re doing are seen as dangerous by these knuckleheads (c.f. the DHS “Rightwing” report). I believe that these patriots are targets to be taken out of the political process one way or another by the left.

That’s why, though I didn’t serve, I have great respect for those who did. Thanks Bob, The Machine, OldNY, etc., also my father-in-law and bro-in-law (both career soldiers).
