HomeEconomy“Can You Hear Us Now…?” Black & Right September 12, 2009 Economy, Government, Health, Politics 25 Comments The president has warned us if we disagree with him he’s going to call us out. Well, Mr. President, we are out. — Sen. Jim DeMint at the DC Tea Party protest That kinda sums it up. It’s being reported that around 2 million people came to the Tea Party in Washington, D.C. That’s gotta be true because we never saw the end of the march…. Truly, a warm, courteous, friendly, angry mob if ever I saw one. The Park Service must like it whenever conservatives gather at The Washington Mall, because (unlike their ideological counterparts) there was no litter to be seen. It was great meeting new people (especially B&R readers) and aside from the one woman who believed I was there taking pictures for ACORN, it was a very inspiring day. People in America need to realize jus what got America in this shape…”cheap” yes so-call cheap items from a foreign land. quote*Wal-Mart firmly believes in local procurement. We recognize that by purchasing quality products, we can generate more job opportunities, support local manufacturing and boost economic development. Over 95% of the merchandise in our stores in China is sourced locally. We have established partnerships with nearly 20,000 suppliers in China. *end quote! Now! if there be 182 country’s making items for the world to buy and they have only 5% of the pie in China…duh! This company makes the nice people of China support their currency(yuan) by keeping it in their country working for the people there…. but with the “yuan” going up in value and the US dollar going down…all the foreign items that the American consumer buys thinking it is cheap has went up in price. People…its all about the currency and to keep a currency strong you got to keep it floating around the country you live in so it can work for you. For the past 12 years all them US dollars are being shipped overseas to a foreign bank and with the American worker not making anything for the foreigner to buy the “we the people” have to turn to the “second” largest employer in America(Uncle Sam) to sell “we the people” debt in order to get all them dollars back! 50 years ago a foreigner would had given their left nut for a US dollar or a Hershey’s chocolate bar and today the same foreigner has got Uncle Sam and the American consumer by both all the while Hershey is moving the chocolate factory to Mexico. Wake up! America and think “MADE IN AMERICA.” quote*”Considering that there are over 30,000 ships at sea this morning,” writes James Carlton, director of the Williams College-Mystic Seaport Maritime Studies Program, in an e-mail, “the total number of organisms and species in this global ‘bioflow’ on the morning your readers read your piece could be staggering – billions of individuals, and thousands of species.” Indeed, scientists have long considered ballast water the primary way invasive aquatic organisms are introduced. From the zebra mussel’s arrival in the Great Lakes, to an American jellyfish severely disrupting Black Sea fisheries, the potential costs of accidental introduction of a species to new homes can be tremendous. Aquatic invasives cost the US $9 billion yearly, according to estimates by David Pimentel, professor emeritus of ecology and evolutionary biology at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. Zebra and quagga mussels (a cousin to the zebra) alone cost the $1 billion annually.*end quote! tat is $9 billion a year in hidden taxes to all Americans… cheap ain’t chic and it cost America…………jobs! Please check out what Michael Hodges has to say about the $100 trillion shortfall in the American taxpayers Social Security and Medicare funds. Why tis company moved their Global Procurement Offices to Hong Kong and than to China….you can be assured it wusn’t to buy American made. Feel free to read “The Flow of Trade in a Global Economy” by Lance Winslow. There is one quote from his article tat comes in mind. “Now let us look at Wal-Mart again; you buy a product there, 6% goes to the employees, 10-18% is profit to the company, 25% goes to other costs and 50% goes to re-stock or the cost of goods sold. Of the 50% about 20-25% goes to China, a guess, but you get the point. Now then, how long will it take at 433 Billion dollars at year for China to have all of our money, leaving no money flow for us to circulate? At a 17 Trillion dollar economy less than 40-years minus the 1/6 they buy from us. Some say that if we keep putting money into our economy, it would take forever, but if we do not then eventually all the money flow will go. If China buys our debt then eventually they own us, no need to worry about a war, they are buying America, due in part to our own mismanaged trade, so whose fault is that? Not necessarily China, as they are doing what’s in the best interests, and we should make sure that trade is not only free, but fair too.” Also, think for a moment about George Washington….yes the man tat is on the US dollar bill…. “Washington had been reelected unanimously in 1792. His decision not to seek a third term established a tradition that is now embedded in the 22d Amendment of the Constitution. In his Farewell Address of Sept. 17, 1796, he drew on the results of his varied experience, offering a guide for both present and future. He urged his compatriots to cherish the Union, support the public credit, be alert to the “insidious wiles of foreign influence,” respect the Constitution and the nation’s laws, abide by the results of elections, and eschew political parties of a sectional cast. Asserting that the United States and Europe had different interests, he declared that it “is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world,” trusting to temporary alliances for emergencies. He also warned against indulging in either habitual favoritism or habitual hostility toward particular nations, lest such attitudes should provoke or involve the country in needless wars.” Take the time to read his farewell address after only eight years of serving his country and than ask yourself tis….How do you think George feels being sent overseas in return for all tat foreign so-call cheap items and being left in a foreign bank because the American worker doesn’t make anythig for the foreigners to buy. Cheap items didn’t make tis great union of 57…oops! 50 states the greatest place on the face of tis Earth…..the American worker (union and non-union) did. You can’t have a strong country without having a strong currency and you can’t have a strong currency unless you keep it floating around within your 50 states. Tis is why the store with the star in the name puts 95% China made items in their stores in China….to keep their “yuan” in their country helping the nice people there. And with only 5% left for all the other 182 country’s tat make stuff including the United States of America….tat doesn’t produce very many jobs outside of China. Being an old person myself and knowing how it wus back in the 40′s, 50′s and 60′s in tis union of 50 states….I look at George each time I pull him out of my billfold and make a promise to send him out for items made in America so after floating around helping each hand he touches jus maybe one day he will shake mine again. Gudday and God Bless! breadbasket Bob, Hell,no! All I know is anytime that mall fills up, you usually get a minimium 250,00-500,00 estimate. Minimium. It sure looked like alot of people and alot of fun! Sorry I missed out. srdb I’m glad people are finally starting to stand up for themselves. I hope we have all learned NOW (it’s about time) that you don’t vote for a person because they are a desired skin color and charismatic, but you vote for a person because they are qualified and TRUTHFUL. I know many didn’t do this, but many did. I hope we all have it out of our systems now and vote much more cautiously in the future. http://black-and-right.com Bob BB, I know what a few thousand people look like. I don’t know what millions look like, yet I’ve never seen that many people in one place before. But let’s say this was an Obama rally. Do you really think they’d have such trouble with the numbers? breadbasket Hey,Bob. Is this estimate from WP accurate? “Lashing Out at the Capitol: Tens of Thousands Protest Obama Initiatives and Government Spending” How about NYT? “Thousand Rally in Capitol to Protest Big Government? The Daily Mail? “Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol today” Hey,you were there, What did you and your son come up with for an estimate? Just wondering if these outlets are undercutting the numbers. From the pictures and video on TV, it sure seems so. Fuzzlenutter No, I cannot hear you because the MSM told me there were only “scores of people” and you’re all just a bunch of racists anyways. If I close my eyes, place my fingers in my ears and repeat, “La la la la la la” you all go away… Ilion If only all these citizens will stay this angry for a number of years and throw out all the “progressives,” in both parties, in Congress. OldnyFirefighter Damn, I hate when that happens! I sneezed & inadvertently posted before I finished. As I started to say, if he knows I’m coming, he will probably lock all of the doors. Lol! OldnyFirefighter I enjoyed my visit with Bob & Son this morning. We all went to the Mall to watch the festivities. Some buses that were supposed to arrive at 6 AM, didn’t get there until about 10 am. I never saw so many people in one place in my life. It was wall to wall people & boy was it loud. I am very hard of hearing &it is a good thing I didn’t have my hearing aids in, as either the aids would have blown or my head would have. By i PM I had a splitting headache. I did manage to find some friends from Florida there with the help of Cell Phones & a few Capitol Police Officers. Those guys & ladies were very helpful & professional in working with a crowd that large. All of the ones that I talked to ot were very friendly & willing to help with any problem. I also shot some video & some of the signs were very well designed. I did see one later in the day that I know Bob didn’t see, but I will send toe video to him. I wasn’t able to make the get together at Joe Theismann’s, as I had a phone call that requested I get home as soon as possible, so I left Bob a note explaining why I was leaving. To those of you that have never met Bob personally, I have tell you he is the type of person that you would like to have as a friend. That goes for his son as well. Both are very Professional in what they do. Now that I know where he is, I can stop to see him on our journey to Florida this winter. I won’t tel him in advance though. He mary Bob — Thanks for the pics. I heard a guy on NPR this afternoon suggest that the tea partiers ideas hark back to those of 19th-cent. South Carolina Sen. John C. Calhoun of states’ rights and slavery infame. So now were not only racists we want the return of slavery. “Progressives” have no conscience and will stop at nothing. http://didyouseethis.wordpress.com/ Mary Ann Great pictures Bob. Had friends, who were at least able to watch on the tube, texting me at work with updates. Hoping you’ll post some pictures of the Summit! http://blog.ortz.org ortzinator In some of those pictures there are more Gadsden flags than American flags… usmc8511 Please note in these pictures that unlike a leftist protest everyone remained clothed, no police vehicles were overturned nor building set on fire. Tabbysmom Thank you for sharing these photos with us.I was not able to be in Washington, but I am there in spirit! There is an excellent commentary on American Thinker.com, by Mrs.Baker, that makes me realize that we really do need to get past all the race issues, and realize that we are all aboard this ship together, sink or swim! Although, nowadays,”Captain” Obama would probably run for the first lifeboat… I often wonder if Rev.King is looking down and crying, seeing what is happening..Maybe that’s why it’s raining today.. chris97391 Bob and Corwin, wonderful pictures and thank you for shearing them here. I wish I could have shared the experience in DC today. And Nicolas, I’m with you about having a Black president be man or woman, just not a extreme liberal like Obama. It appears they are dropping some of the ‘racist’ remarks and replacing it with McCarthyism now, I wonder how long the list of ‘name calling’ is? http://sgthartsock.blogspot.com/ Nicolas and the bullshit merchandise LINKING Dr. MLK TO Obama is Disgusting as well, so that’s why I LOVE that sign good stuff http://sgthartsock.blogspot.com/ Nicolas also, I saw this one on TV, that was GREAT!! it’s a point that needs to be driven home HARD that we WANT a Black President, just not a damn NIGHTMARE like Obama… http://sgthartsock.blogspot.com/ Nicolas those are killer photos, Bob. Love it! NICELY done! Palmetto Thanks for the photos. I’ve kept FOX on all day and was wishing I had been able to be there. Have a adult beverage for me tonight — and photos of your dinner would be nice to see also. dlanor No he can;t hear us now. To hear someone he would have to be listening but the ‘chosen one’ already knows what is best for us and anything else is not important. Oh yeah and for some reason he is out of DC today. I am sure it was not intentional. carolinagirl Whoo Hooo Bob! Thanks for the update Y’all enjoy Theisman’s tonight! The Machine and aside from the one woman who believed I was there taking pictures for ACORN… LOL!
