Birthers To Get Their Day In Court

Is this the footprint of baby Barack Obama? The left may have considered them a laughing stock, but deep down inside they’ve got to be wondering if the Birthers will be laughed off the planet once and for all, or will Obama supporters be known as the biggest suckas since… well, they could be the biggest.

A California judge today tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, for a case that challenges Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president based on questions over his qualifications under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

The suit alleges Obama is actually a citizen of Indonesia and “possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the president of the United States of America and the commander-in-chief.”

In the U.S. Justice Department’s motion to dismiss, attorneys didn’t address the concerns directly, but instead focused their efforts on technical procedures, suggesting the matter can’t be decided in court and that the dozens of plaintiffs cannot demonstrate they have been injured by having Obama in the Oval Office.

Maybe, but there are lots of people who may be injured by this: the people who got in everyone’s face with ridicule, the political party that blindly certified the Electoral votes, the Supreme Court that was too worried about the perception of “overturning” another election to uphold their oaths, the media that insisted that the facts weren’t worth investigating (which is their JOB), and the Congress and senators that failed to uphold the Constitution and will have to worry about legislation signed into law that suddenly may become moot.

good to know a judge set a date for the trial, but I wonder why January? a year and a few days after the usurper took office..ouch.

trial can’t come fast ENOUGH. Hopefully the truth will catch up to him soon enough

whoo hooo maybe that ticker on the sidebar will get to DONE a little faster Bob!

Kudos for the update, Bob. I’ve been following this story since before the election, and Berg’s initial suit got thrown out due to the convoluted concept of lack of “standing”, a cop-out if I’ve ever heard one (and I’ve heard it before from the Federal Courts).

In the current lawsuit, Dr Alan Keyes demonstrably has “standing” since Keyes was a candidate for President on the California ballot in 2008.

I’ve explored this and other topics fairly extensively in the Barack Obama threadtarget=blank

    I hope my formatting works . . .

It did and it didn’t. Please overlook the target=blank part, the link is quite live.

January 2010? That leaves just enough time to destroy a nation.

Then again, it may mean the difference between tyranny and survival of our Republic.

Fines proposed for going without health insurance

Americans would be fined up to $3,800 for failing to buy health insurance under a plan that circulated in Congress on Tuesday

It seems someone has been reading the bill.

Prospects for a government-run plan to compete with private insurers sank as a leading moderate Democrat said he could no longer support the idea.

Well, some members of Congress may survive the culling…

the president campaigned hard against making health insurance a requirement, and fining people for not getting it

It would seem someone did not read the bill. Furthermore, Media-gate is alive and well. Unfortunately, many “journalists” do not have such a bright future.

Whether Obama is determined to be eligible or not, we will remember that the “journalists” failed in their duties. They are afforded special protection by the Constitution specifically to remain independent agents of the people. If the people must learn the truth from other sources, then the “journalist” class has betrayed us.

While they’re in court, they should also probably ask for his other records. Because we really, really, really want to know this guy; otherwise, this is an encounter not worth repeating.

  6. Richmedia says:

Obama has never released his actual birth certificate, regardless of what some would have you to believe. The Flikr image has been demonstrated to be a poor Photo-Shopped fake.

You are correct, n.n., in that Obama has also not released any of his Occidental College, Harvard, or Columbia records. In fact, none of his comments while Editor of the Harvard Law Review have been released, which should be an item of public record.

Strange, isn’t it, that both Bush and McCain released all of their respective college records, and neither Kerry nor Obama has?

    On second thought . . .

  7. Nicolas says:

also, I wonder if I can file for economic & psychological damages against Obama and Democrats? (all things considered) :P

  8. SlapShot says:

Nicholas, please make it a class action suit that we can all jump in on. LOL

The whole argument that minor presidential canidates would not have been hurt because they never stood a chance of winning is totally BOGUS!!!!

A President needs to represent ALL of the people. Even loosing minor canidates. A President needs to represent ALL of the people in signing documents that offically end wars. Like we did for WWII.

If you spend more than a MILLION dollars saying “You don’t need no stinkin birth certificate, something must be up!!! If there is smoke there is fire!!
