As the “September 12 taxpayer march on Washington” has gathered momentum (with the addition of the health care debate), we’re going to have The B&R Summit at Joe Theismann’s Restaurant, right across from the Metro stop in Alexandria, Virginia.
Bring a friend.

I’m thinking of making the drive down for the weekend to show my support (even though I’m not an american citizen, it would be fun to meet the people who come on here and be part of something with them) but it is so far away…
I’ll see what I can do, but I cannot promise anything.
I don’t know who has seen this. but I loved it.

Looking like we can’t make it as planned, we may have to chase a contractual gig instead. Money be tight an’ all that.
If so, will be there in spirit with ya.
I have been talking with Bob about this. If we have a large interest we would need reservations. I thnk the notion of 40 or more people just showing up that night and expect to be together is not possible. The place is on the Metro (DC’s Subway) on the blue/yellow line (King Street station). About 8 stops south of central DC. If we get a firm yes from say 20-30 we can make reservations for 40.
So lets be firm and meet. Get to know Bob face to face.
I would be very interested but I’d have to make the determination that very week.
We need to find out approximately when the protest will be over to determine a time, but it would probably be somewhere in the late afternoon, early evening.
My husband and I are hoping to go, his work schedule will dictate, but not until the week beforehand, if we can do it. So we two are a tentative yes!
If we can go, we’d head to the area on Friday the 11th, staying for the events on Saturday.
When would we be having the meet up at Joe Theismann’s?
Not too familiar with the area, but think Alexandria is southwest of DC? Would need to figure out where we would stay, hotel wise.
