Obama Misinformation

Obviously, this will be an ongoing segment.

We’ve all heard the charges leveled, but you have to hand it to the Obama Administration. While accusing others of misinformation and sending plants to town hall meetings, they up and plant questioners with phony credentials themselves….

One supporter, Dr. Roxana Mayer, a physician who does not live in Jackson Lee’s district, praised the reform plan for overhauling a broken system.

The problem is “Dr.” Roxana Mayer only plays doctor on television. In real life, she’s an Obama campaign volunteer.

The Houston Chronicle originally identifed Roxana as a doctor, however once they were busted and had to do some real reporting…

… they had to issue a clarification.

Sheila Jackson Lee hugs Roxana Mayer at her town hall meeting at Peavy Neighborhood Center. Mayer identified herself as a physician who does not live in Jackson Lee’s district. However, her name does not appear in the database maintained by the Texas Medical Board, which licenses all doctors in Texas.

Misinformation, Ms. Douglass?

Congresswoman Shiela Jackson Lee was either in on the hustle or was a sucka. Which is it could easily be a Question of the Day applicable to all who support Obamacare.

“I’m not a doctor, but I play one on TV!”

Wasn’t that line used as a lead in for an ad on TV many years ago?

  2. RightSide Says:

And it wasn’t the Houston Chronicle that uncovered the plant, either. Nope, they just quietly scrubbed their online news to hide their omission.

I really like that some people are now calling the Democrat’s townhall meetings ‘greenhouses’ because there are so many plants there :)

Oh, and on a somewhat related note why doesn’t everyone send in notices on leftist health care lies to the flag site? Jam up their lists with supporters and make them sort out who’s who?! I think planting a fake doctor is pretty ‘fishy’ myself. Isn’t that dis-information?

  3. PB-in-AL Says:

@RightSide – Greenhouses: I love it! And I think that is a capital idea to “flag” these phonies.

  4. Eric Says:

I sent youtube video to Flag@whitehouse.gov as a misinformation/fishy issue. Hopefully this “Dr.” will get the same treatment as Joe the Plumber

Here is the email I sent and her answers (The reporter at the Houston Cronicle who wrote the story)

    Have you seen this?

    http://patterico.com/2009/08/12/hmmm-was-there-a-plant-at-the-sheila-jackson-lee-town-hall-meeting/

It appears that the good “Doctor” wasn’t exactly what she appeared to represent.

Is this worth a follow up? Perhaps along the line of democrat plants at “town hall meetings”.

    Naw…didn’t think so.

    Have a good day

It’s starting to sound like the Democrats have a serious case of Psychological projection

  7. MissJean Says:

Oh, that’s funny. I have no doubt she’s a plant. She brought up preventative care, feeding Lee a cue to launch the subject. Plus, she’s sitting front and center where Lee does a little eye contact with her before and after (around 3:03). So even if Lee didn’t know she wasn’t a real doc, she had her story explained beforehand, didn’t she?

  8. Hoss Says:

Any repercussions in Texas for impersonating a physician?

The left has absolutely no credibility left with anybody that has an IQ over 50.

  9. OldnyFirefighter Says:

That’s because the Left has an IQ of 40 or less – common sense -1!

  10. The Machine Says:

    NOT misinformation at all.

This is a prime example of disinformation.
