    TRON! I raved about that movie when the original was released! After seeing it, I knew movie making had changed forever because computers were now capable of creating motion pictures. Fabulous movie. I hope the new one does it justice.

    I won’t be satisfied until he is out of office. If the economy happens to pick up in the next yr., it will suddenly become “Obama’s economy” , take credit, and quit blaming George W.

    Dream on, Kanye, dream on. Geez, this guy steals music, loops it , raps over it , and wants to compare himself to MICHAEL JACKSON?
    One of my axioms is, if you have to say your’e good, you might not be that good”. I dont’ ever remember MJ walking around saying he was King. Everyone in the 80′s already knew it.

    That is ominous. Run that nationally and see the polls drop furthur. Since he looks like the Heath Ledger Joker, I don’t see how they can throw “racist” on this. The only other comparision would be racial, but you would have to go all the way back to LIVE AND LET DIE. Does anyone remember the Geofrey Holder character when he pops out of the coffin? Scary, indeed!

    TRON, although not a particularly lucrative movie, kind of set a “standard” for interaction of CGI and human actor involvement. A lot of the techniques used to develop the original movie went on to become smoother, more detailed CGI and human actor intermix. It resulted in smoother movement in CGI-only characters, spurred development of EL&M developers, showed Hollywood that this type of film could make money, and results in the almost seamless blending of acting and graphics in the movies of today. It spurred Silicon Graphics on to make their top-end workstations the workhorse of CGI initially, and spun off a LOT of creativity. it was arguably the reason CGI took off.

    I’m looking forward to the release, being an enthusiastic supporter of the original…
