When a Democrat is in the White House, there are constants: the homeless problem miraculously disappears, and black poverty goes away as well. But blacks rarely hold the politicians they elect accountable, so it’s no wonder they get blown off in return.

Black Americans and their ever growing list of problems are not on anyone’s agenda. They are not on the presidential agenda, or the congressional agenda. Even the Congressional Black Caucus leadership takes a hands off approach to their constituents’ dire situation. Unless African Americans develop an agenda and make the requisite demands, economic prospects will continue to decline.
I’ve said for years that until the black community becomes politically competitive, their politicians will continue to take them for granted and nothing will change. For that, you know what I’ve been called.
At least I’m eating.

AND just how historically ignorant and uninformed most Americans truly are! Just ask any American kid (of any race) which political party that actually championed freedom for slaves…well, dumb looks are still free!
This is no different than Black public servants in Africa. Until Blacks hold their representatives, Black and otherwise, accountable, and themselves responsible, then no amount of affirmative action will help.
“you know what I’ve been called”
Part of the solution?
As children. They view this as akin to rooting for a footbal team.
“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
Would that the word, “man” meant what it used to mean…
The Machine:
There is wisdom to be found from those who preceded us.
That may be the problem with regressives, and young people generally. They believe they’re better in all things, and often dismiss, without consideration, the wisdom handed down.
Unfortunately, this state of regression is often enforced and perpetuated through “liberal”/”progressive” agendas and associated policies. It seems many people never have the opportunity to develop their character, and are trapped in the regressives’ false philosophy.

Speaking of regressive policies. If you’re in the mood for a laugh, or cry, depending on your state of mind, read the following:

I’ll give them credit. It was, apparently, a successful program. However, as with all consumer-only bodies, our government cannot sustain it, especially in a period of economic recession and global crises.
Maybe they’ll consider returning funds to the producers, so that they may, once again, grow the economy. The economy which enables their social programs and beyond. The alternative will involve some straw, a camel, and a broken back.
I left this in the OP site…since they moderate comments we’ll see if it makes it:
“To add insult to injury, no one in a position of power to change the situation will admit that racism is the cause of the disparity.”
There it is… the racism claim again. Respectfully, Ms. Kimberly, there’s a reason that black America suffers disproportionately more than whites in a recession and racism has nothing to do with it. I’m a black, skilled, and still employed man; and I can tell you that this problem is more indicative of issues that the black community, and the Democrat leaders they elect, continuously ignore.
Let’s start with poor education, which stems from dismal parental involvement, which stems from the lack of cohesive family units. (i.e. mom didn’t choose to procreate with a man worthy of being a father, thus explaining why he’s not around) We can also add bureaucratic entities in the inner city that care more about keeping the teachers unions happy and ensuring that they get their cut of federal funding than ensuring curriculum is suited to help students achieve. These underserved students eventually become part of the workforce; unprepared, and uncompetitive.
Just this year, Obama and the Democrats eliminated a popular vouchering program in D.C. that sent students to schools where they excelled academically; and instead sent them back to the dread institutions where they weren’t. Now what are those kids chances to succeed in a tough economy?
During a good economy, even the most unskilled in the black community can ride the wave of activity and find jobs, but, have that economy tank and employers look to keep only their best and brightest. Due to the beforementioned items I discussed, that’s rarely a large number of blacks. So, before the horn of racism is blown, you might want to look at the underpinnings of the situation, and the leadership that ignores it.

“Some parents came to the defense of the school.”
“You have to be in your kid’s life, you have to know what’s going on in their world,” said parent Vanessa Ewing. “I’m up at the school. The teachers know me. I stay on them. I stay on my kids.”
