Bonehead Of The Day

If you’re not a “policy expert”, then maybe you shouldn’t be discussing policy at the National Press Club…?

Just a suggestion.

Why didn’t a “policy expert” give the Republican health care rebuttal?

One of the earliest criticisms of Michael Steele was that he was self-serving and was going to use the RNC for his own promotion. Making a nationally-televised speech and not being able to answer a question, gives liberals like Talking Points Memo yet another opportunity to bash Republicans they deem as stupid.

But at the end of the day, Michael got his face time. That seems to be what mattered.

    That was an Obama-worthy non-answer.

damn it..I wish he DID know something about policy so he could call out Obama’s garbage left & right..

C’mon chairman..need to step it up and get educated on some of these topics if you’re going to make us confident in your leadership..

Let’s try to see the context in which he was coming from here, I think I understand what he meant.

Yeah, he could have stated the position better, but — as we have seen all too often with the RNC — there’s that damned, “let’s all be polite” philosophy going on…

Health Care Reform Would Bring “Inefficiencies” To System

Notice the side-to-side swings of the head. He’s reading from his teleprompters.

    and

Mayo Clinic’s reaction to House Tri-Committee bill

“the proposed legislation misses the opportunity to help create higher-quality, more affordable health care for patients. In fact, it will do the opposite.”

“The real losers will be the citizens of the United States.”

Finally, someone concerned about the CITIZENS. I knew that citizenship had its privileges, somewhere, somehow, sometime.

The side-to-side swing of the head is also known to those who study such as being the body language of the true negative when someone is spouting off at the mouth with a lie.

Saying “yes” while shaking the head “no”.

The trained observer looks for this move instinctively.

“body language of the true negative”

True. I was actually laughing at the thought that someone may have intentionally programmed the teleprompters to reveal the truth. Possibly a whistle blower, similar to Biden, or someone unhappy with BS, which, again, could also be Biden.

“Saying “yes” while shaking the head “no”.”

Much like the crossed fingers trick? Hey, it worked in grade school…

  8. OldnyFirefighter says:

The only other explanation for the head swing movement is if he was imitating Stevie Wonder or listening to his music on his MP3 player.
