Obama Dems: Guilt By Association

Obama midas touchThings aren’t looking good when certain people don’t want their names to be mentioned in the same sentence together with others.

Could it be that President Barack Obama’s Midas touch is starting to dull a bit, even among members of his own party?

Conservative House Democrats are balking at the cost and direction of Obama’s top priority, an overhaul of the nation’s health care system. A key Senate Democrat, Max Baucus of Montana, complains that Obama’s opposition to paying for it with a tax on health benefits “is not helping us.”

In other words, his reelection chances…

Another Democrat, Rep. Dan Boren of Oklahoma, tells his local newspaper that Obama is too liberal and is “very unpopular” in his district.

Obama continues to be comparatively popular. But now recent national surveys have shown a measurable drop in his job approval rating, even among Democrats. A CBS news survey out this week had his national approval rating at 57 percent, and his standing among Democrats down 10 percentage points since last month, from 92 percent to 82 percent.

I can’t say it enough: 2010 is going to be a bloodbath and there are two people we have to thank, President Barack Obama and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

i can’t say it enough. i am praying that i am terribly wrong and bob is more than 100% correct.

boren represents a district in oklahoma comprised of the counties that border arkansas. from texas to kansas. i.e., the eastern areas of the state. this is a rural area. think west virginia with hills instead of mountains.
boren got elected because of his name, his uncle, and the yellow dog dimocrats that comprise 85% of the population in his district. as they are yellow dog, they have absolutely nothing in common with the national dimocratic party. they are fiercely independent country folk that raise fighting roosters, fighting dogs, and think abortion is murder.
boren fits in well with the elitists of deecee, but doesn’t know the business end of a tractor. the most important detail boren should be concerned about is meth rehabilitation legislation. his district is the meth capital of the world. and as maryjuhwanna is the #1 cash crop in oklahoma, his district is the principal contributor to that title as well.
boren will be re-elected in a walk in 2010, no matter who is president.
oklahoma was the only state in the union that hussein did not carry a single county. i’m sure a special kind of hell awaits us.

In case you haven’t noticed, we are already knee deep in blood.

There are two ways for 2010 (or 2012) to be a “bloodbath” for the Dems, only one of which is good for the nation:
    1) if the voters are simply rejecting how *this* particular attempt at socialism is playing-out, then nothing is solved and the leftists will try again in a few years;
    2) if the voters finally reject “liberalism”
tout court, then the nation can recover … and, eventually, even that Dems can return to sanity.

(well, goofed up on the italics))

and I wish a number of us in the B&R community could get together with you, Bob, on election night, as we watch the pendulum swing back in our direction and shout/gloat like CRAZY at an election night party :P
