Larry Summers says the number of people searching for the term "economic depression" on Google is down to normal levels and that this shift shows consumer confidence is higher. Photo: ReutersOkay, someone please clarify this for me. We were told that Barack Obama and his administration were the best and brightest America had to offer, correct?

Of all the statistics pouring into the White House every day, top economic adviser Larry Summers highlighted one Friday to make his case that the economic free-fall has ended.

The number of people searching for the term “economic depression” on Google is down to normal levels, Summers said.

    That isn’t the reason.

See, the leftoids stopped googling “depression” because without Bush in office, they no longer need to know anything about the “depression” that they declared while unemployment was below 5 percent.

Conservatives already know the definition and the history.

I would think one reason is that some people are trying to find jobs & probably no longer have Internet Service because they can’t afford it. Another reason may be that people are already depressed & don’t need to read some crap that makes them feel worse.

well what a relief. I can now rest assured that we are on the road to economic recovery because “Google says so”…..so to speak.
