People can judge all they want when it comes to the topic of addiction, but I don’t think too many of us could just tough out the pain of third degree burns on your head.

If it was Brian Wilson would we be having this discussion?

    Oh yeah ….. right.

Ok how about another rhetorical question?

    Does Jackson’s race MATTER?

IMO – only if you feel the need to make him out to be something other than what he actually was.

Jackson’s celebrity was a construct and it killed him because he could not differentiate between the inventionthat was his public image and his own being.

It’s the reason that the Beatles went into mysticism and the reason why Jackson tried to reinvent himself….. over and over.

    Pathetic.

    It i called, “psychosis” Nick.

  3. Nicolas says:

and I’m actually hearing stories of how this somehow contributed to his death

I wonder why? that’s very strange. what’re the long-term effects that could’ve contributed to his death like they say?

  4. Ilion says:

No, Ecotim, he was already far advanced into mutilating himself by that time.

  5. Trishmac says:

It was horrible, and his handlers and family and friends if he had any, should be ashamed of themselves for not helping Michael to make better decisions. I realize we need to be responsible for our actions, but after this accident, he needed a firm hand or word to help him in his recovery! Instead, he got a three ring circus for his life, and all the painkillers he could swallow.

  6. The Machine says:

    Tell it to Richard Pryor…

Looking back maybe that is the point where the pain caused him to do all that surgery on his face and become white? No disrespect. Trauma can make you do weird things in the aftermath.
Takes alot of personal strength the survive with your mind in one piece.
