This is why I’ll never run for public office again. People will take what’s said out of context (and I’ve said a lot), or twist what’s said or written into the context they desire. Either way, doing anything political means taking great risks and being real careful what’s said or written, because our opponents conveniently forget their pass transgressions and eat your faux pas up.
Audra Shay, 38, has won the post of chairman of the Young Republicans — despite accusations that she endorsed racism on Facebook.
Shay’s candidacy, supported by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, hit a snag in recent weeks when she responded to a comment made by a friend on Facebook saying “need to take this country back from all of these mad coons” with “You tell em Eric! lol.” Other Young Republicans chimed in, saying the comment was racist and questioning Shay’s response. Shay issued a statement saying she “was not aware of the racial comments until sometime later” and was only responding to her friend’s other remarks.
But more controversial comments from Shay were found by the Daily Beast. After an effigy of Sarah Palin was hung, she said “What no ‘Obama in a noose? … I am wondering if the guys with the Palin noose would care if we had a bunch of homosexuals in a noose.” She’s also written that President Obama “attacks white people” and posted a video claiming Obama believes he has to help African-Americans over whites to “ensure his own salvation.”
The Huffington Post is lovin’ this, The Daily Beast is lovin’ this, while the rest of the liberal blogsphere is still in Hutu dance mode over the Freeper scandal.
People get mad at me when I point out intolerant comments, especially on our side, but when you drive down the wrong side of the highway, your slow lane is really the fast lane oncoming.

Isn’t that just a bit on the old side? Granted I’m older than her but I would never consider running for anything with the Young Republicans at 38.

Talk about bucking traffic. Down here in Texas (except of course in Austin and select areas in Houston) we just can’t seem to help it. You will find us bad-mouthing just about everybody and everything if we have a mind to. Sometimes even without considering the ramifications or nuisances of doing so.
We also have another characteristic. We love guns, explosions, fights, fast cars (and pickumup trucks) and pretty women. We are not so fond at all of racism, people who like the same sex as they are and hippies, be them the 1960s variety or the “progressives” that are rampant today.
Guess what, we don’t give a tinker’s damn who doesn’t like it. I guess that makes us not a good population to further the “moderate” republican puke…I mean party.
Sweet Sarah is welcome any time down here. She is our kind of people.

It has happened before… The “elites”, along with their officers, the “progressives”, and their pawns, the “liberals”, are on the rampage.

Well, he too was running for office, and, according to the regressive left’s policy, should have been fair game as well.

So, in summary, the regressives have been exposed as the frauds they are, and are now shifting into full propaganda, attack mode.
Everyone brace yourselves. Injured animals (especially apes, their much vaunted cousins) are aggressive and dangerous.

The press stopped doing its job reporting what is happening when they starting opining about and making things happen.
Sometimes I am optimistic about the future, then I get knocked back to reality that if more regular folk don’t start getting interested, we surely will lose our land.
It does not matter.
Because the other side will just make shit up to defame you if they can’t find anything to exaggerate.
