I wonder how much of this is because “liberal” has moved so much further to the left? My mother is a classic liberal, like a lot of Catholics of her generation. But she’s pro-Life and doesn’t think that a society can arbitrarily re-define words like “marriage” or “sex (aka gender)”.
Or maybe it’s easy to be a lefty when your job is secure. It’s harder when your neighborhood begins emptying out and public services are cut back. It’s nearly impossible when you contemplate that this coming year, your fuel bills will go up while your net pay shrinks.

Fankly, imho, a vote for McLame was a wasted vote. You can’t have real change if you keep voting for the status quo or voting “for the lesser of two evils”. Either you want a real conservative and you will vote accordingly or you just like to talk about it but vote out of fear. I don’t care what anyone ways, voting for McLame was NOT voting for the better. Evil is evil and McLame would have been a paramount disgrace to the Republican party and would have surely been the nail in its coffin. It’s best that Obama won…now the Country as a whole can see him and the Democrat party for what they truly are….socialists at best and communists in many cases….either way, they are totally corrupt and un-American.

Bob, I know your feelings on Mitt “Mr. Slippery” Romney, but even at his worst he’s better than the whole lot, combined, that is leading the charge to Socialism in Washington D.C. I voted for McCain not because I liked everything on his platform, but I saw him as the lesser of two evils. I really wish other people had done their research and not voted on a seeming whim or “feeling.”
I’m really hoping Palin can motivate the Republican and Democratic parties to change their ways. I want someone who does not believe that supporting illegal immigration as a way to get votes, does not believe that everyone deserves the same things in life without working for them and just telling “wah wah” stories, feels that our elders ARE important and should be taken care very well, feels that our strong military is a valued part of our culture, and feels that AMERICA is the most wonderful country in the world and tries to keep it from becoming just another ordinary sheep country.
So far, Palin is my hope and change. The rest are are sheeple… so far. I wonder if a woman is the only one with cajones?
