From Fairness To Terrorist
Think about it: why haven’t Democrats implemented the long-dreaded Fairness Doctrine? Well, one reason could be that it could come back on them. Another reason could be that they’ll just lock up all dissenting voices. You know, like they accuse Republicans of wanting to do. You think this implausible?
An amendment to a bill swiftly moving through the US Congress will allow the Obama Administration’s Attorney General to classify Americans as domestic terrorists if they are pro-life, pro-gun and anti-big government.
Impeached Florida judge — now a Democrat Party member of the House of Representatives — Rep. Alcee Hastings introduced what some claim is a disturbing piece of legislation. Hasting’s amendment calls for the Attorney General to have discretion over who is called a terrorist and what groups will be treated as terrorist groups.
“This is arguably one of the worst pieces of legislation to come down the pike in a long, long time. In essence Attorney General Eric Holder — a Bill Clinton retread — will have the discretion to label Americans terrorists. This amendment is part and parcel of the trend in this country to suppress dissent by patriots by calling them domestic terrorists,” political strategist Mike Baker added.
Democrats have that tendency to overreach. Should this happen, 2010 should be a very interesting mid-term election year, that is, if they allow them to happen at all.

You have a lot more faith in voters than I do, Bob. Or maybe it’s just the yahoos are out in the open now.
First it was the attack on religious groups that supported marriage. Now Hastings amendment.
Oh, and the “regulations czar” nominee who wants our judicial system to allow animals to sue. That’s a woman who puts little value on human rights. (Although I can’t wait to see lamprey get sued for wrongful death on behalf of the native species of the Great Lakes.)

If the Democrats pass this wacky bill, they can kiss most of the moderate Dems goodbye. You could call it the “Everybody but white conservatives bill”. Let’s just piss off the majority, Eric. Bill Clinton looks like a Quacker politically next to these guys. I hope they pass this just to expose this arrogant, overreaching, racist regime for what it is. This seems to be their modus operandi. Push these bills through fast with reading or debating anything. They know what it is. Let’s see the the moderate Dems explain their vote on this in 2010.
If people hadn’t been so racially sensitive in the 2008 election, Obama could have been beaten silly with the racial radical argument. We all know about Rev. Wright? But do people know Obama lived at 5046 S. Greenwood in Hyde Park? Why is that significent? If you walk N. on Greenwood for a little less than 2 blocks to 49th st., hang a right, walk 1 block to Greenlawn, turn left , on the corner is Louis Farrakhan’s house. Walking distance. Can you imagine any conservative candidate living in a big city 3 blocks from a known white racist. They never would have made it to the primaries. How did anyone miss this? I am not stating any opinions here, just geography. Draw you own conclusions.
If we just start gradually putting more light on the liberal cockroaches, we can just expose them for who they are. The more Obama is in office, the less b.s. he can get away with. I know 2010 will be payback, but it is going to be a long 1.5 yrs with this czar in office.

Does this mean from now on Krugman will accuse Climate-Change Deniers of ‘domestic terrorism’ instead of ‘treason?’

Alcee Hastings is a nut case. He also wants to build internment camps for the Domestic Terrorists that are to be determined by the Attorney General. In other words if you call him an asshole, you can bet you are on the list. If you think the Administration is trashing the Constitution, you are on the list. If you look cross eyed at Obama, you might be on the list. If you are ProLife you are also on the list. You will probably be at the beginning of the list if you attend one of the Tea Parties. To get to the Internment camps the quickest ask Obama to prove he is a Natural Born Citizen & your name will probably be written in red letters on the list. Heaven forbid, if you own a gun. I guess I must be on there in at least six times. At least I won’t have to work – ah, wait I’m retired – oh shit!

Um…
Holy Crap!!!!
Is there any possibility this could pass? And if so, where could we move to until it’s repealed?

Moving is running away from a threat…

Domestic Terrorist and Proud of it!
…and I will not run. Well, maybe for office…

@Machine – indeed. Moving is admitting defeat and showing that the USA isn’t worth fighting for.
Of course, where would one move to? The one world government seems to be growing. Who would have thought during Reagan’s administration that the the Russian PM would be schooling (chastising, really) the POTUS about heading down the path of totalitarianism?
