Romney’s Worst Nightmare
You know this must be driving the Palin haters nuts.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska announced Friday that she would step down by the end of the month and not seek a second term as governor, fueling speculation that she is seriously weighing whether to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

I don’t think she will run.
I think she is as sick and tired of all the dirty-dealing crap as I am.

I believe she is hanging up her GOV coat and will begin anew as the GOP attack barracuda.

i think the faggot soros and his money machine are able to attack her on a daily basis as the governor of a state.
she may of course run for senator.
or as a private citizen, the next time the bastard letterman says anything about one of todd palin’s kids, todd can take the bastard letterman into a room with no windows or witnesses for about five minutes.
as a private citizen the faggot soros and his money machine will be attacking a private citizen.
this will not burden the citizens of alaska as the faggot soros continues his proxy attacks on the governor.
now she will be free to rip off their heads and shit down their throat.

what i don’t get is why is she stepping down now?
it must be that the longer she is govr, the more the faggot soros money machine attack her and it’s taking time from being govr.

hmmmmmmmm….VERY very telling, I definitely think she will run, that sounds like she has bigger fish to fry on the left
fingers crossed

Based on what she said in the speech, it sounds like you’re right, louielouie. The muckraking was interfering with her job. It also sounds like she and her husband have had to shell out their personal money to counter attacks on her character. If they had to hire a PR firm, that would be outrageously expensive for a private citizen.
On the other hand, the law offers more protection if she works as a private citizen for a while. It’s one thing to follow an elected official around the state capital; it’s quite another to hound a private citizen who’s working at an energy thinktank or as a spokeswoman for Feminists for Life.
I doubt she’s going to run in 2012. I can see her running for the Senate and later becoming a part of a Republican’s cabinet (or Sarah Palin – ENERGY CZARINA!)

Since many right wing Republicans and liberal Democratic don’t like Sarah Palin, she should change parties to the Independent Party. Trouble is who would help fund her? But it sure would be make for a very interesting election year! She’d have my vote.

She did the right thing. The attacks were sickening and vicious.
Louielouie is right on point. Becoming a private citizen gives her and her husband the tools to fight back and to sue the douchebags. Every parent instinctively protects his/her children.
Besides, as the main breadwinner of this family, she can now do more to provide financial security for the whole family with book deals, lecture tours, maybe movie rights.
When people in her own party turned against her in such a nauseating way, it’s time to walk away.

Hmm, the National Post’s Jonathan Kay had his own two cents about this:

Well, my Sarah Palin bumber sticker is staying on my Trailblazer. I’m not sure where she is going, but it is going to be one heck of a ride.
Critics say what they will, but they can’t say that she is easily controlled by the media, comedians, Presidents, nor Congress. She is a true maverick with an honest streak a mile long. Go Sarah and God bless all you do.

Who cares about sara palin. Bobby Jindal for president 2012!! keep the minority presidents going.

I think Sarah Palin did the right thing. She was criticized for not knowing enough as a vp candidate – now she’ll have time to learn what she needs to know, make connections, do grassroots with the American people, and generally be able to get a lot more done.
In attempting to reach her for an interview, the Alaskan state government people I spoke with told me that I could have contact with her only on Alaskan-related information.
Now she is not held to that and hopefully will be more approachable.
I would love to see a combination of Sarah Palin and Condi Rice, either way what a team they would make!

BOBBY JINDAL FOR PRESIDENT.

I hope she is leaving politics, not because I don’t like her, but because she deserves better. She will never be given the respect or privacy or peace she deserves by the media or the left so long as she is in politics. It is so wrong but that’s the way it is.
Honestly, if I were her, I wouldn’t lift another finger to help this God damn country. I don’t think it’s worth her time.

“keep the minority presidents going”
Or, perhaps, vote for an individual by qualification and integrity on policies and issues.
Too naive? Not in my ideal world.

I think shes going to help with the 2010 House, Senate elections. That Is the first step before even trying to run 2012.

Jerry Casian says: “I think shes going to help with the 2010 House, Senate elections. That Is the first step before even trying to run 2012.”
Jerry, If someone wants to run for a government position, quitting in midterm will sour any efforts to win any seat. As far as helping?? Most republicans will distance themselves.
She and her husband are sick and tired of being the punching bag of the media, the party, late night idiots, etc. and when her children became fodder material, imo, she’s had enough. I hope she’ll make millions as a private citizen and I hope she’ll continue to energize the Conservatives in her own unique way.
