You know they'll make anything you can do to defeat this thing illegal. Who was it that said the government makes criminals out of law abiding citizens?

MissJean has the right idea. I'm going to keep my "clunkers" going until they fall apart, then get more parts and keep 'em running. No problemo.

Of course, I do all my own mechanic work, and since I'm a Controls Engineer I understand all aspects of what's going on under the hood mechanically and electronically - this gives me a real leg up on the average consumer that can barely open the hood and identify the engine. I try to keep my friends/family/church members going as well, but there's only one of me... and I have to sleep some time...

Having said that, there is a rather easy way to "defeat" GPS without even touching the electronics package. For one of the ways, look up "Faraday Cage" on Wikipedia. This is just ONE of the ways. I have many. Being an electronics geek has its advantages, after all.

Of course, the SIMPLEST solution is to get the wonderdummies out of office. That's the cheapest and simplest, after all, it just takes time...

Another leftist idea that vividly illustrates how much the left truly cares about trivialities such as freedom. Remember, other countries don't want you to set your thermostat where you want to, for you to be able to eat what you want, or to drive where you want...and neither does Obama and the rest of the dems.

Sitting around waiting for the Revolution.

I'm convinced it's not just a revenue generating thing. I agree with Rayj and Breadbasker; these people want control of every aspect of everybody's lives.

They have been trying to foist that upon the people of Oregon for a few years but, this being primarily a rural state, the folks have not bought into it. Oh, that is with the exception of the numbnuts up in the Salem, Eugene area. You know, the state capitol and the college towns. The idiots up there are "trying it out.' They are going to have a hell of a time getting a fix on me and I ain't payin' for a 70 mile round trip to town each time! What a bunch of bozos.
I will let you know how they are trying to shove a tax increase up you know where one of these days.
