My boyfriend will insist on watching it even if it reeks, so bonus if I enjoy it, too. I liked the original series, but I remember it being pretty campy and blatant references to Nazi propaganda and people blindly trusting devious but charismatic leaders. Of course, if ABC wanted to make it more upfront, they'd have a character tear off a pretty visitor's face - to reveal Nancy Pelosi. Let the hamster-swallowing begin! Oh, that actually looks good!
