Pelosi: No Transparency On Healthcare Bill
I’m wondering when the public is going to smell the stink emanating from the Democrat health care bill no one is allowed to rebut, and now, no one is allowed to see beforehand. Weren’t we supposed to be in the new era of “transparency”?
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) will not give the public a week to review the final text of a health-care reform bill before it is voted on later this year. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) has also declined to commit to giving the public a week to read and consider the final health-care bill.
“… this bill is something that has been unfolding before the American people for a long time now. The areas of controversy are well known,” said Pelosi.
And if they are “well known”, why not the opportunity to see it for ourselves? All the good stuff like Congress keeping their health plans and unions being exempt from paying taxes on their insurance coverage… let us read it over again.
Is there are problem with that, or is there more we don’t know?

Geez, Bob, the only transparency *I* see is Pelousy trying to keep the final version under wraps until they can get it shoved down out throats. By then it’ll be like trying to get a mountain moved with a teaspoon to get this absolutely stinko piece of legislation repealed, which is precisely what they want!
America had better wake up FAST!

Why should *we* be allowed to read it?
I mean, *she* hasn’t…

That just pisses me off, royally! They have forgotten, or chosen to ignore, the fact that they represent US! It is their obligation to provide us with access to this sort of legislation.
Democrat transparency my ass. They’ve been lying from the outset, and this is just S.O.P. for them.
