Quote Of The Day

Harrison missed the last 10 games last season after tearing a muscle in his right thigh. (Jim Rogash/Getty Images)Some people know when it’s time. Some people know, but aren’t sure, and know, but aren’t sure…

When I made my decision to retire, I made my decision to retire. I want to walk away from the game. There is a point in time when we all have to walk away from the game, and I just thought it would be very disrespectful for me to come back and forth and not make my decision.

I am done, and I am very much so at peace with that. Football has been good to me. I respect people in the National Football League enough not to put them on this joy ride — the back and forth, the ups and downs of am I coming back or will I not come back? I am done.

Brett Favre, a Viking? There is polite speculation that this is a (deserved) slam on Brett Favre who came out of retirement (summer ’08) after a few months, was mediocre with the New York Jets last year, retired and now may come back and play for the Minnesota Vikings (which would be a real diss against rival Green Bay).

At some point (and only Brett knows when that’ll be) it should be what’s best for a team, and not only what may be good for Brett. He’ll get back to us when he decides.

look at it like this, if it don’t work out for brett with the vikes, there’s always oakland next year.

Of course, those of us who went to school and worked hard to become engineers, scientists, teachers, etc. cannot afford to retire…

Careful: envy is how the “liberal” pod-people get you.

Good for Rodney Harrison. I loved watching him as a Patriot. I hope he enjoys his (well-deserved) retirement.
