These are vulgar anti-gay slurs that feed a climate of hatred and intolerance toward our community. For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, ‘The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,’ is incredibly dangerous. It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community. And it sends a message that it is OK to attempt to dehumanize people by exploiting anti-gay attitudes.
We have reached out to Hilton and asked him to apologize for promoting this anti-gay slur, and we would ask media outlets to avoid repetition of the slur in their coverage of this story.

So let me get this straight (pardon the pun). If a heterosexual person said something against a gay person, GLAAD would be bitching for weeks. Ask Carrie Prejean. But when a gay person slurs, we’re supposed to “avoid repetition of the slur” in coverage of this story.
Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way. Then again, progressives are always changing the rules when it suits them. But I’m sure Perez Hilton now knows it’s not wise to call a young black man a faggot (whether he is or not is irrelevant), because you will not only get bitch-slapped but will also have to apologize and there’s nothing more humiliating than that.

You know, people used to use words to sort out people – like the term “white trash” and what it brings to mind. [By the way, the only group now not protected are the REDNECKS, who are those descendents of the English & Irish INDENTURED servants from hundreds of years ago.]
Now, I have great friends who happen to be gay and I wouldn’t call them faggots. But Perez Hilton, well, HE’s a faggot – that being a negative connotation. I say that because he is such a troublemaker, and a sexist/racist/classless jack**s loudmouth moron. I mean, he is just asking for this.

After hearing (wasn’t watching the TV) his whining rant about being hit, I think the real word for “Perez Hilton” (remember, it’s not his real name) is Pussy.
For God’s sake, MAN UP! If someone gives you a poke in the face, you don’t go running around like Nancy Kerrigan whining “Why! Why!” and saying “I’ll sue!” You punch back.
Now that he’s gone on his webcam blubbering about how “Violence is never the answer”, everyone and his brother knows they can but him one any time he gets on their nerves.
