As the upcoming census is going to be an Obama/Emanuel/ACORN production, some people have begun talking about what they will and won’t answer, and what the government can do to us if we don’t give them all the private information they demand.
Leadership is now being shown.
Outspoken Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann says she’s so worried that information from next year’s national census will be abused that she will refuse to fill out anything more than the number of people in her household.
Hold on here…. Again, imagine the screech if someone called a liberal Democrat woman “outspoken”. Just what would they be implying?
Mrs. Bachmann, Minnesota Republican, said the questions have become “very intricate, very personal” and she also fears ACORN, the community organizing group that came under fire for its voter registration efforts last year, will be part of the Census Bureau’s door-to-door information collection efforts.
Of course, the typical response is that she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. If that’s the case, providing only a head count of those in the household should be sufficient (and not punishable), correct U.S. Census Bureau?
I wonder if one of the questions will be? Do you own any guns & if so how many? A: None of the governments business!
If it was asked, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least & I would advise answering as above.
Nic, she is a very smart woman & probably would have been a far better choice than McCain. Can you imagine Palin\Bachmann or Bachmann\Palin. Either would be better than we have now, as many of our Congressmen need a “Mother Figure” for advice & direction.

During the 2000 census I answered and sent in my form. I answered only my name and number of people living in the house.
The government actually sent someone to my house to ask me “the rest of the questions.”
Q: Your Religion? A: None of the government’s business.
Q: Your income level? A:None of the government’s business.
Q: Your Race? A: None of the government’s business.
Q: Your Ethnicity? A: None of the government’s business.
and so on.
Now I’m rethinking some of the questions as the answers will be used to re-district the state.
At the same time it is non of the Gov’t's biz at ALL. It should be just based on how many bodies sleep in the house.
