Authorities are looking into additional charges of theft against Bonnie Sweeten, the Bucks County mother whose bogus claim of being kidnapped with her 9-year-old daughter set off a massive law enforcement manhunt and a national media frenzy.
For some reason, many published news reports are omitting Sweeten’s false allegation that she was abducted by two black men. I can’t answer as to the knee-jerk tendency of blaming phantom black men for crimes, save for the fact (and this will piss off many who don’t like sensitive dirty laundry aired) that black men perform a disproportionate amount of crime, thus we can be falsely accused and that false accusation be deemed quite plausible.
who kidnaps people who can’t pay a large ransom? and dont tell me black people.

Well, fboiteau it may not be for long, so if she gets a slap on the wrist, say 1 year or less, I do hope she gets that bulldyke The Machine Says mentioned, for her new bestest friend on the block.
This story had a bad smell from the beginning. I immediately wondered what moron kidnapper wouldn’t have patted her down for a cell phone.

Problem is, I’ve read Glenn Sacks and Bernard Chapin too long to believe this would happen. It is very plausible that all she’ll get is a slap on the wrist and be told not to do it again.

Sort of a local gal for me. What a piece of you know what she is. I gotta say, when the loud and obnoxious amber alert came on the TV, I was drawn into the lies, but only briefly.
First of all, the area where she alleged the two “black men” abducted her, is very busy during the day; how she thought that anyone could believe her story is crazy. And then the news was mixed, she was in the trunk, the daughter in the car with the 2 men, then they were both in the trunk. From the gitgo it was a suspicious tale!
Anyway, she will be doing time for her actions, I hope they find her a nice cell mate.
