And liberals call Republicans “mean-spirited”…
“He became ground zero among the neo-cons, but he’s vastly smarter than most of them,” said Time’s Joe Klein, an admirer and critic who praised Krauthammer’s “writing skills and polemical skills” as “so far above almost anybody writing columns today.”
“There’s something tragic about him, too,” Klein said, referring to Krauthammer’s confinement to a wheelchair, the result of a diving accident during his first year of medical school. “His work would have a lot more nuance if he were able to see the situations he’s writing about.”
We’re more than used to tolerant, inclusive progressives fantasizing about the deaths of conservatives, but to have a mainstream media colleague criticize the ability of another in a wheelchair is almost below we would expect from Joe Klein.

As the son of a woman “with disabilities” …
I hate euphemism, let me start again:
As the son of a woman who was crippled, …
… how, exactly, does that give higher moral standing to any criticism I might make of Mr Klein?
As the parent of a child with disablities, let me just say this…..YUCK!
Charles Krauthammer is a nightly panelist on Fox News’ Special Report, as well as a nationally syndicated columnist.
I’m not familiar with Klein or Krauthammer, but the wheelchair scenario reminds me of Biden telling the man in another wheelchair to “Stand up” at a rally…equally as boneheaded
