Former Vice President is really showing John McCain how to do that “straight talk express” thing. The more Mr. Cheney rebuts the Obama administration, the more they backtrack and the more people understand just how fortunate we were to have him as veep when we did.
The same day Dick Cheney delivered a major speech on the battle against terrorism, a new national poll suggests that favorable opinions of the former vice president are on the rise.
Fifty-five percent of people questioned in the poll say they have an unfavorable opinion of the former vice president. Thirty-seven percent say they have a favorable opinion of Cheney, up eight points from January when he left office.
That must have pissed off a few at CNN.
Cheney is retired,probably near death’s door. He has nothing to lose in this. Everyone that could hate him already does. But he does not need approval like Obama does and will state his case with conviction because he had to go through all the thoughts and emotions of setting the policy. The government’s FIRST priority is safety of its citizens. Yes, it’s obvious, but tell that to Obama.
I suspect that Biden makes Biden sick.
another reason for it is that Cheney didn’t make gaffes the way Biden does. Cheney never asked a paralyzed guy to “stand up” from his wheelchair. Cheney never told us we’d be attacked in 6 months after a new administration was elected
