My first vehicle was a 68 Mustang Convertible. My 2nd car was a 67 Mustang fastback. After those 2 cars, I pretty much went with anything with 4 wheels. After I graduated high school, I got a 90 GMC Suburban. That car was the lemon from HELL. I never got past the "break in" millage before having to get a new one. The first one caught fire when driving to Las Vegas. The 2nd one, the engine and the rear end just inexplicably died. The 3rd one, me and a group of friends were heading to Disneyland and the transmission just dropped out, I was doing 65 on the freeway, and the tranny mounts gave out and the trans hit the road.

Managed to get the money back my parents paid for it, and about a month later picked up a 79 Bronco. That truck lasted me unitl just the end of 1994. Since then, I've pretty much only have bought Ford, with the exception of a Subaru SVX (Highly recommended if you can find one), and a PT Loozer (Won't touch another mopar product).

My dad and grandad used to work for GM. Every time I bought a car that wasn't GM, they'd both give me crap about it. Each time I would ask them if they were going to give me the $4,000 to $10,000 difference for a comparable GM vehicle. Of course the answer was no.

I still have a 1991 Mazda 323 that I bought new. What would the odds be of a '91 GM compact (whatever was available at the time) still running? That said the ole' 323 is on its last legs, but it is 18 years later and was rode hard and put up wet more often than not.

<i>"said the plan also called for the government to forgive the bulk of $15.4 billion emergency loans"</i>

Wow, like we didn't see that coming. Obama just basically laundered $16 billion of our dollars through the unions for a percentage back to the dem coffers.

You couldn't give me a GM product at this point.
