Whatever happened to the 20 year old who hacked into Palin’s e mail during the election. I would bet he also got a slap on the wrist and sent back to college. At the same time we are letting these guys off I am reading where the FBI arrested a 16 yo in north carolina in March under the patriot act. The kid has been in jail for 2 mos. almost incommunicado. His name is Ashton Lundeby and the evidence is weak or non existent from what I have read. It looks like the government is using the patriot act to cover up their own incompetence. Real justice is hard to come by these days.

while i hope that pesky little jerk gets nothing out of this but perhaps a black eye, there’s no way in hell that the government needs to be tracking the prescription drug usage of 8.3 million people… not sure who i want to win here, i kind of want both parties to lose

A prime example of why Obama’s health (Hillary) care initiative that was snuck into the so-called “Stimulus Bill” should never see the light of day.

Hackers such as this example should serve some prison time if caught, but more importantly, they are actually doing a service by holding the security folks heels to the fire. If this hacker can access this info, imagine what an unfriendly foe might be able to do.

The cyber-wars are fully under-way right now, and have been for years.

Systems containing confidential data and/or providing critical services should not be connected to outside networks.

Insiders with access to same systems should be audited.

The “security experts” in government, military, etc., should be held accountable for their repeated lapses in judgement.

Obama’s plan to store and distribute all medical records electronically should be shelved, until he can prove the security of the associated systems, networks, and provide a procedure to ensure insiders will not exploit that information. A Gheitner outline would be insufficient to support this action.

On a related note, the Universal Health Care agenda should be shelved, until the government can identify the source of costs and mitigating solutions. You cannot just throw money as a solution at a problem and hope it sticks.

now I actually agree with you on the death penalty for hackers. They know too much, and can cause too much..to put it lightly.

Gets me wondering where the right wing hackers are to expose BHO’s record so we can finally put this nightmare behind us. I’d love to hear that in the news “..it took a HACKER to bring down the usurper, and expose the hoax to the world..”
